    I wouldn't consider myself a good player being quite casual and I learn better by doing rather than watching videos/reading guides so it always takes me a couple of attempts to learn a mechanic (and heck, there's still mechanics in-game I struggle with) but I would say that wasn't the hardest fight in the game.

    Granted took three attempts to beat it the first time around (manly due to other party members dying to mechanics) but we got it together and had it completed within 30 minutes. I'd agree with most other responses though - after 90 levels you shouldn't be struggling too much that fight (unless you boosted which tbh - no new player should really do and I never understand why they would), there's certainly harder ones along the way.

    I'm a casual.... I unsub for long periods of time and come back for the story. It's not just boosters that had trouble. Thankfully, there was a player that everyone could follow around to avoid mechanics. He/She is a saint. For people that play consistently, I am sure it was easy. For those that say increasing levels = increased difficulty, I don't agree. We aren't or shouldn't all be on a linear path to raiding. You character gets stronger, so it should offset.

    The amount of imminent death mechanics is becoming absurd to me.... fine if mechanics are punishing, but we aren't all trying to raid, and frankly we aren't all trying to memorize every fight in this game. Wasting gray matter on team jump rope isn't my idea of fun.

    Here's my perspective :

    The game is already too easy and hold your hand, even in raid bosses, as it is.

    visual cues just show you everything.

    Zodiark is easy. Just follow the player marked with a triangle. Mothercrystal literally has a trust that teaches the mechanics to you. Final Day is easy once you know the mechanics which is largely just a few bit AoEs and a DPS check.

    I don't think trials asking for a minimum of effort in order to be completed successfully is unreasonable. Even if you are coming back to the game after a prolonged absence, you still have 2 dungeons before reaching the first trial, which is more than enough practice getting back into the flow of things.

    And considering people have been complaining about everything being too easy, the sudden surge of crying about the game being too hard tells me we've found a good compromise between casual and hardcore players.

    I was fine with anything that had trusts to follow around.... the trial with other players.... ugh. Thankfully, there was a player that marked themselves for everyone to follow. That player will always have a special place in my heart.

    It's the same here. The game slowly introduced you to new mechanics. You're not meant to zerg and braindead the bosses. You're meant to learn their mechanics. Most ( If not every ) boss in the game starts the encounter with an introduction to their mechanics, which should give you an insight into what they can do and how to avoid it.
    That's what RAID content is for, for those who CHOOSE to bash their heads against a brick wall, not for those of us for whom trial 1 in particular was a bloody nightmare!

    Indeed, I can't recall name of the tank who did my trial 1 (Zarc? something perhaps, a real star) and who two wipes later was still there helping us poor souls for whom 3-concurrent mechanics is just too damned much!


    I fully expect 6.0 will be the last content I do, I'm done with raid-level mechanics in STORY content that gates all further progress in the STORY.
