You are also not discussing anything. You are throwing around your “but Discord and websites and Excel are different” argument, because “the way they get their data is different”. But what's your point? Every single time, I or someone else reminds you that even YOSHI-P said that third-party tool would also mean the software for some macro keyboard or mouse or even Discord. Third-party means third-party.



Do you not know who Yoshi-P is? Even though I wrote multiple times that he is the producer of FFXIV? Basically THE person you go to when you want to know stuff about the official side of the game. So, why are you ignoring what he says and try to actively police the TOS for him, even though he himself says that they won't ever actively hunt down players using any kind of third-party tool?

If you go back you can read what yoshi p actually said. Not what you believe he said based on what the community would have you believe. Seems you skipped that part as it doesn’t fit the narrative you are pushing.
Also I’m not policing the ToS. Just simply stating my own opinions around the discussion.

Also with this, I commented how you are spreading misinformation about the actual context of what yoshi p said. This goes beyond “just stating my opinion”. But you don’t want to address this part. When “yoshi p’s statement” is the back bone of your argument, and it’s not being relayed properly, it’s no longer an opinion. It’s just wrong

There have been updates to prohibited activities since 2013 and reshaders now technically fall under that umbrella. Of course, they would never ban anyone for it. Never have and most likely never will.
I brought it up because it is technically part of the ToS now AND you could technically use reshade to get better visibility of AOE telegraphs on certain arenas (p3 for example). So it seemed relevant.

- Modifying, analyzing, integrating, and/or reverse-engineering game software or data.
- Creating, distributing, using, or promoting utilities that interact with the game.

Is what Yoshi P said is where does the term third party tool really start and really stop, and he is not the one to dictate that. ToS says no, his stance is the ToS says no so don't do it. Are they going to go out of there way to stop modding if it is harmless? No? Will they ban you for it if you are caught? Yes it is against ToS. It is really that simple, but the problem is the purest casuals in this game want to always start witch hunts as you can see in many peoples posts in this thread.
Everyone just play as you would like, I think everyone can agree as long as people are not getting an unfair advantage it is not the end of the world. 90% of players that are running some form of mod, no one else really even notices as most are done client side. If you see some one sitting by a rock, who cares. In ARR I used to boundry break by doing a pretty long series of jumps to clip some wall, and walk all the way to CT and know how many times I was reported for it? 0. Doubt this is still in the game, and if it is I don't even remember how to do it.
