Maybe they can't do without them because of handicaps, maybe they just want to enjoy the content in an easier way... The fact they kill things don't take those things away from you.

False. This usually bleeds into the general population by making these "easy mode" mods mandatory to join a group. Take a peak over at wow where DBM has become mandatory for any raid.
Being difficult to see is part of the encounter. Someone having an undisclosed "handicap" is one thing but when the solution trivializes the encounter into a game of simon says, no thanks.

This isn't WoW and I've personally never encountered a group that requires plugins (since that's what I'm assuming you're referring to) to be a part of it in 2 years of daily play. That's most likely even reportable.

Alright. Do you have a raid leader ? Someone that shotcalls mechanics ? Then you're no better than a cactbot user. You don't ? Nice. 90% of the game does. Should we forbid people from being on voice chat when doing savage and ultimate ?

It doesn't happen because the community fights back against mods and here we are in a thread trying to justify mod use because it doesn't effect me personally.

We're all so very proud of you, but then again, despite the parsers being ALMOST approved implicitly, if someone ever told someone else "you're not doing more than 5k, we kick you", they wouldn't last long before meeting a GM. Because the devs fight back, not you. The same will happen with Cactbot.

Besides, they're not fighting back, they're preventing such behaviors to occur in a public place. Because of course it happens in rosters, and maybe some rosters will ask for cactbot... But that's private stuff, and it has nothing to do with what you're talking about.

Since there will never be a fight designed with cactbot in mind, there will always be visual, textual or audio cues to analyze mechanics, therefore, you won't ever NEED it, therefore, you will always be trusted to play without it if you can prove you can do it. If you're afraid of falling behind because you don't use cactbot, just get better, that's what PvE is about. And no, I don't use cactbot myself, but again, I still see no reason to be against it.

When these mods become commonplace the community suffers. parsers toe the line as is and yes people still get filtered from statics for not having logs or acceptable numbers. You can pretend it doesn't happen by pointing to party finder but lets not pretend discord doesn't exist and hasn't become the premier place to recruit.
I applaud SE for making fights have audio visual tells instead of relying on danger zones and seemingly random timed sequences. I just don't wish to see these handicap mods become commonplace and then required.

1. If you get filtered make you own party.
2. If you are getting filtered it likely means you are not meeting requirements to raid to begin with, perhaps take time to learn your class more or improve your gear.
3. SE only takes action if you are using parsers to harass players.
4. Not allowing players to join your party for x reason is not considered harassment.
5. Dummies have no point in existing is parsers did not exist.

As I said, this is private stuff, and as I said, I'm sure if you can show these people in roster trials that you don't need cactbot, they'll take you if you're good enough. Or they don't know how the game works and won't make much progress, so you're not missing on anything. And even then, nothing prevents you from doing your own static, cactbot-free, if EVER every last static demands you got it.

You've made that clear, but please don't call them handicap mods, and please, stop pretending you know what is just or not. To each his own, there are people out there that have their own endgame that focuses on gardening, surely, you'll always find people that don't want to install cactbot if it ever becomes somewhat mandatory.
