    The only "mod" They tolerate is gshade. Every other mod they hate with a passion and I've heard they will even bully people of their own culture if caught with mods of any sort. Including Bard macro players. It's kind of fascinating how entirely different their community views this topic compared to NA.

    Blatant bullying is uncommon, but it absolutely isn't endorsed, neither it's looked at as a "you do you" type of a thing.
    And I'm pretty sure that GShade is tolerated/popular only because DevTeam officially stated on Forum that it's not against ToS (though it's not officially supported), and maybe also because it doesn't mingle with in-game fails which is what Japanese players are mainly against for.

    I feel like you're unaware that it's basically "Don't ask, don't tell." when it comes to modding. They don't care as long as you're not a hugely popular person posting pron of your character online and getting them in hot water. They're also not going to put anything into our PCs to monitor it and they've said that multiple times. Same situation with BMP: "Don't get us sued for you playing music and we'll turn a blind eye."

    Hate to be that person but if anyone wants to use mods so badly, save up for a PC over time. They won't be put on console.
