Really? I guess it'll depend on the build maybe? I never looked into it as all my friends on PC tell me to never go prebuild with a cartoony long list of reasons why.

It's perfectly fine to buy pre-built. They're not as expensive as they used to be. I bought one because I didn't want to bother fighting bots buying video cards so I only spent maybe an extra $200 versus if I had built it myself. I did have to replace the front panel fans almost a year later but the cost was negligible. The parts are all ASUS/Samsung/Nvidia/Intel. Don't worry about it, I build my computers whenever I need a new one but because of scalping bots, it's just better to buy a pre-built one. Don't buy a HP/Dell/Compaq etc... You should buy something made with premium parts from Newegg or another vendor where you can see exactly what's inside and has a 1yr warranty. Like I said, don't buy cheap computers like a HP or Dell and you'll be fine. A cheap $1000 computer is more than adequate for FF14 and right now is probably a good time to buy since companies might still be overstocked from Christmas.

People doing things on their own computer that make them happy but don't affect anyone else shouldn't be allowed, and obviously we need to put a stop to people enjoying the game in anything but a vanilla setting

I don't care of people using mods to change how the game look, not my problem TBH. However, since a while now we are getting certain stuff that give advatages over people not using them. We lost the ability to change markes mid fight since third party tools could do it as mechanics happens making the whole encounter easier. I don't know, "gameplay QoL" are getting out of hand on PC.

I would rather FFXIV devs give official support to addons and just "break" the ones they consider bad for the game, that or find a way to stop what we already have.

Agreed. Please look forward to it in 13.2 when they dedicate an entire Live Letter to it, and how much of an advancement of the game's Engine it represents

I don't disagree with you, but the ledge sitting and /doze in surfaces, is not "only what they see" as everyone can see that, even PlayStation and Xbox users

i mean wait till they learn about some of the crates in ul dahl where you can freely do the sit on the ledge/edge of objects without the use of mods and such. So yea the assets are there in game already.

They just need to figure out something for PvP, other than that it's not a big deal. People don't normally cheat or use cheat engines outside of PvP unless you count RMT bots that grind all day. In which case, report those players directly (not report as RMT) and let the GMs do whatever GMs do. But you do realize OP that you can jump to certain spots without actually using any kind of third party tool right? People can't modify game files and said game files be shown to you as another player. If someone were to say patch their game with a texture mod, you won't see this mod, it would be a serious security issue if that could happen. It doesn't. When you see players dozing on top of a pole, it's because they jumped there from somewhere. I've done it plenty of times when I was bored. The game encourages you to go explore and try things like that, there are sightseeing and achievements tied to this. Sometimes you can glitch through walls because the internet skipped a beat. I once fell through the floor of a dungeon to my death, it was funny.

So no, most people don't use tools to position hack themselves, they just do it the old fashion way by jumping there. But even if they don't, it doesn't affect you. Pretend it's a bethesda game and it's a normal day. lool Okay joking aside, I don't want SE to install spyware onto people's computer. But they DO need to figure out how to fix PvP and features like skybuilder botting. I'm so thankful I got the saint title when there were so many bots. The worst part is that it was painfully obvious that they were bots, I'm not sure if they were banned or not but it was a big deal at the time.

I'm honestly just annoyed that they haven't made these into features yet. If it's doable via a cheat engine, it shouldn't take them that much time to code. Like damn, we just want to be able to sit or lie down anywhere. -_-

Hey if we're wishlisting, can we also ask SE to make a lot more emotes loop? Like /read, /bread, and so many others would be much better as looping emotes...
