Here are some more easy pills to swallow from the same article I linked earlier (per Yoshi)

Use of tools that allow players to more easily complete content.
Modification of the UI to display additional information.*
Use of packet spoofing tools.
Any actions or public statements that promote use of third-party tools.

Do you have any further input about the grey area? When i read it, its pretty black and white.

By "sit anywhere" they mean using the animation for sitting on something anywhere, not /groundsit.

Yeah it's so black n white that folks aren't even being mass banned for using these things. So maybe, JUST MAYBE...it IS a grey area. You can believe what you will as is your right. But your crusade doesn't have many legs

I see many using the Cheat Engine so they can make their characters sit anywhere they want, even the /doze emote on surfaces. Isn't it time to implement a system so such things can't be used? Also make it so the game files can't be modified.
And if Square Enix do allow mods, then they also should open the PlayStation for using mods so it's fair for more players.

It does not effect gameplay, and looks a hell of alot better than sitting on a ledge using /groundsit.

I applaud the people that do this, makes the world more realistic.
