Maybe add some more gear like:

-cuirass
-harness
-scale mail


More tank gear that ends at the waist?

Please?

I don’t always want to have to either choose between being naked or wearing a blanket.

(Also more shiny or otherwise “higher quality” looking dyable plate armor would be amazing too. A lot of the current metals used in tank gear look worn and don’t dye well.)

Hoplons
Bucklers

Also more dye options for shields.


Everything in the game should have variations. (Saves on resources and give players variety.)

Don’t take just one type of gear and make 379338737 options for just that one and leave out the rest.

Gear is largely recycled (Dyeable templates from older content) or region specific, though still staying to the Fantasy theme.

There's quite a few good looking plate options.

I agree, but only because they refuse to fix the (anti-gravity / steel-mesh) skirts/coats issues. Until they're fixed, the more often I can avoid having any top that extends at all past the hips, the better.

If they insist on dress type armor, I'd kill for a crusader style set. I know adders elite tank set kind of fits the bill, but a general one for everyone would e nice. I agree though, I would love to see more practical sets in the game without as much stuff hanging from the waist or unneeded asymmetry.

I agree, tired of the dress type armor, I love the heavy armor type and part of the reason I play tank. I have almost all the heavy armor sets for glamour but I would like to get something new.

I, for one, would totally like to see a greater selection of stylish yet functional smaller shields and bucklers.

My aestetic is "lightweight, but still protective" on account of the fact I'm a Miqo. XD So I never really was much for heavier armor. (I'll admit I especially hated the "tin man" armor you got from ARR.) In that regard, the Valkyrie Fending set from SB seems to work well for that. Very "soldiery," with what looks like a chain shirt for vital protection. (Yes, yes. I know it's basically a pallette swap of stuff that dropped from The Vault. Sheesh...)

Still, I wouldn't mind seeing more outfits like I described above. I was sporting the Gazelleskin stuff for a while, because hey, Ala Mhigan. But it got to be a little overly drab sometimes.

Edited to Add: And TOGGLEABLE CAPES. Seriously, SE. That clipping for us kitties and lizzies is unflattering. :P

I'd love more smaller shields even as a highlander. I remember being disappointed when I was leveling armorer, finding a really cool small shield, not paying attention, and crafting it only to find that....it was a caster shield and I couldn't equip it as a tank.

Side note, why don't the new captain weapons in the GCs include a shield?!

would also like to see more "Helmet" armors. The allagan tank helm is still the best helm imo in terms of simplicity and non clashing design. The gordian one is pretty good once you dye it pure white. They also need to stop with this trend of raid gear being Helm > circlet > circlet per expansion. I also wouldn't mind the dx11 helmet for tanks.
