I play on Low settings so I can't see them.

Nope. There is no visual indicator for the beam attack in the last boss for instance. It just randomly beams half the circle. You have to memorize which one it's going to do first (it's Left first, then Right, then Left).

Its glowing wing shows the side it attacks...
