hmm, this topic appears right after someone mentioned that they're surprised that no one has complained that the last dungeon totally has extreme and savage mechanics
what a coincidink!

They never actually made Shinryu easier. Even when people complained, they never made him easier and the response was basically, get good. After 2 expansions of action changes and higher ilevels, he goes down quickly now, just like everything else that is in the same boat. For me personally, Dead Ends is nowhere NEAR as difficult as Shinryu was when SB first dropped. It took me 3 days to finally find a group that beat it, and it was almost a tie between him dying and the last person standing (healer) dying. I know they nerfed it at some point, but in the beginning it was HARD. But beating it was worth it.
Ah. I thought I saw something in the patch notes once they he was nerfed in some way. My mistake. They never actually made Shinryu easier. If you’re so bad at this game that you can’t think and breath at the same time….
Maybe.. you shouldn’t be playing it.
There are harder dungeons with more going on. Why not make a thread complaining about all of them? Zot had way more going on for mechs for example so how did you beat that?
I think I died maybe once on the second boss in that dungeon. Other than that I had no trouble.
First boss was a bit rough but other than that it is definitely not savage/extreme level. It's a fantastic dungeon though and it does not need nerfs. We are talking about the final msq dungeon here and you want to ruin the experience? haha
I died in trusts on the second boss a few times as I kept picking the same safe spot as Alisae during the section where it give you spread mechanics that will kill you if you overlap them.
But trusts are very predictable so once I figured out where Alisae and Urianger went for that mechanic it was smooth sailing for the final attempt.
Have not died to that mechanic with trusts since. Don't think I died when I did it with others either.
I feel like the OP is having a chuckle with this thread.
Actually there's two things I don't like about the last boss in Dead Ends. The yellow floor is kinda "augh." My eyes are light sensitive and the butterflies it pops are yellow. Not a hard mech, since they give you bright red indicators under each butterfly showing you where to stand, but still, bleh lol.
Also "Prance" animation is so good, but so insulting LOL.
