You can look at the old BLM that was literally a magic turret or their dps plummeted. Heck even today if you wanna do real good numbers with BLM you need to custom your entire group around BLM, so yes mobility is important. That there are static fights in game doesnt mean they arent lately leaning more on more hectic ones. Ex2 in EW is a pain in the rear to a "static" job and is far from the worst fight
