I don't think RDM really needs any adjustments it seems like the only job that they got right
MNK and RPR need to be toned down and just about everything else but RDM (maybe bard) needs to be brought up a little
This. Please leave it alone and finally adress all that other mess...
What about SAM and BLM that have zero utility AND subpar dps compared to RPR and MNK?

Meh, I stand by my opinion that they should both be neck and neck. So rather than nerf RDM, just bring SMN up to par.
But I don't have a dog in this fight since I don't play either. Still trying to find a main job.

I've been tinkering around with both, here's what I've seen so far. Seems about the same as ShB. RDM is better than SMN at: progression, soloing overworld, hunts, soloing potd, assisting fc mates with whatever, covering for other players (people are still learning how to Sage), and preventing wipes. SMN used to be better at dps, but right now it's not.
Both have enough mobility for literally everything, so it doesn't matter if one has slightly more mobility than the other.
I love SMN, it's an absolute pleasure to play. But I can't honestly think of a single place where it outperforms RDM. Maybe when cleave is needed? Right now I plan on maining SMN in EW regardless, it's just too much fun to walk away from.

RDM is in a good spot, both balancing and enjoyment of playing wise. They have better utility than SMN, but they also have to actually cast more than SMN so it balances out since they have more potential to lose uptime.

Mobility which will offer virtually zero advantages. Look at the Eden series. How many mechanics were Casters unable to handle without losing uptime? None. The dev team simply doesn't design fights around mobility because they don't want one DPS role to feel unfairly targeted. Hence why the Range taxes has been thought pointless. Their free mobility amounts to absolutely nothing but a damage penalty for reasons. At least you're forced to bring one for the party bonus. SMN doesn't have that luxury and will be completely forgotten come Savage without a sizable buff.

You can look at the old BLM that was literally a magic turret or their dps plummeted. Heck even today if you wanna do real good numbers with BLM you need to custom your entire group around BLM, so yes mobility is important. That there are static fights in game doesnt mean they arent lately leaning more on more hectic ones. Ex2 in EW is a pain in the rear to a "static" job and is far from the worst fightMobility which will offer virtually zero advantages. Look at the Eden series. Not really. I don't force my static to completely change up our strats when I switch to blm and I can still pull off great dps. The most I ask for is a rescue or if someone is on top of me for a spread, they move first. You can look at the old BLM that was literally a magic turret or their dps plummeted. Bad BLMs in my experiences are the ones that need to rely on parties catering to them.
Or the party is extremely optimized aiming for parse runs
I'm just some guy...
