    The capabilities of toys/mammets/minions.

The survival of Omega has raised a ton of questions for me on these toys.

Original design was to follow X target. This was said by Biggs in the NEW content. Not some holdover they decided to retcon.

Yet it had enough data storage in it to house all of Omega's mind along with his ability to understand 6 MILLLION languages.

That would be like finding out a cat toy actually had a SD drive in it big enough to store every show on netflix.

Why!? Why would they make it like that!?

What else can they do? Does my wind up Ryne have a Death Star laser hidden in it?

These things are a bigger threat than the Final Days I tell you! And now we want to give them an island to roam free on? What if they organize? Combine their INSANE POWERS to overthrow all life on the planet?

Keep both eyes on those minions everyone. Dark times are ahead.

Considering how mind-bogglingly advanced Omega is, perhaps its memory is simply so compressed/efficient that it can feasibly insert itself into a comparatively primitive automaton.

Omega could weave monsters and demigods out of thin air. Compressing its essence, even at the cost of losing most of its power, is plausible, in an "A wizard did it" kind of way.

Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, and I would call a spacefaring, dimension-shifting, matter-manifesting robot sufficiently advanced.

Out of every siingle character we've ever met in the entire game, Omega is the last one I'd raise 'wait, I don't think that's possible' questions to. I would hold Hildibrand to harsher scrutiny than Omega!

    Science.
I'm sure if you heard about some of the technology we have nowadays you might think of them as impossibilities or even magic and miracles.
So I won't be questioning this part. Omega civilization is so advanced compared to even ours.

Fair enough. I guess the better question is why if Omega can do all that at the point of death, did he choose the Omega toy. He does not strike me as the sentimental type to be attached to his old body.

If the purpose was to lay low and not have people realize he had lived, choosing the Omega toy would not make any sense.

...the entire Endwalker Omega questline is about showing that Omega is indeed an emotional being even if Omega itself doesn't recognize that and hasn't fully come to terms with it. Omega would absolutely pick that form for sentimental reasons and then not acknowledge it.

    Example:
Omega wonders about its name and what it refers to but later on states something similar to: "I'm Omega and will always be Omega and it would be an insult not to call me Omega!"

Mhm yeah.... Omega is definitely a "Acts smart but is stupid"

To continue learning about the whole "soul" thing inconspicuously. He could travel with Alpha and observe the Ironworks without anyone being the wiser. He only broke cover because of the Omicron signal.

    Less "stupid", more "lacks context".
