Oh no I do, I am part a marginalized group on two fronts I just never let it get to me. I get the historical context behind the pride I just never got into it.

Historical context, basically. The generation prior was discriminated against for how they were born - so it's inevitable that in a more tolerant society they openly embrace traits that were formerly viewed as ugly, inferior, etc.

Generally speaking I still run into people that feel I am inferior due to aspects that I had no control over due to being born a certain way.

Still people will be people and that is life. To me being proud over something you had no control over is silly no matter how you spin it. Be it positive or negative spin the context does not make it any less weird and unnecessary imo

Is your entire presence even "nesscary." People are allowed to talk about who they are. There's literally no reason not to, except to appease people who think they have the authority to tell us what to be proud of.

Additionally, I'm struggling to grasp how it's unnecessary. After generations of legalized slavery, normalized racism and cultural eradication - it shouldn't be terribly surprising that some form of mending/healing occurs when the persecuted are allowed to finally express themselves and embrace who they are without fear of retaliation after enduring mistreatment.

The day that games let my characters have my irl hair is the day I'll die happy. Everytime I've brought it up I've been given "too many polgyons" argument yet I actually designed one for a GW2 suggestion (back when that forum was still open) and they did add it in.... just for the male characters instead.

I just, I dunno man. I've seen modders do it. I don't know enough about games to pretend to be an expert, but why not.

The hairs usually look ugly so its probably a waste, dreads like that viking picture is probably the best its gonna look like or else it'll just be a mess. If they gonna make more hairs then let it be more all around usable and not some useless "represent" thing. Not that hard to choose one of the current hairstyles to try and represent you it is still a final fantasy game and not gw2.

Yes, but I think we just need hairstyles that stand out period. Less spiky and basic flat hair designs and more unique ones, preferably with masculine and or feminine qualities added to each one.

I'd rather see varieties of hairstyle inspired by cultures throughout the world instead of getting a massive influx of curly and afro'd hairstyles. Because you know FFXIV's devs will do that and people will start to complain about that then and not having enough of something else xD

See that is what I mean by messy, just use one of the long hairstyles (guess it depends on race too) or use "another" method. People do want a hundred types of hairstyles but they obviously arent a high priority to other things.

I'm not sure what your issue is with having hair styles that have a texture other than bone straight. Like what exactly is the issue with them asking for more options especially considering this is a reasonable, nonstupid request, which is more than I can say for other threads on this forum.
