    The New World Boss Fate Timer wait times are far too long

    People are regularily waiting an entire day if not longer, forced to stay logged in and and at their computer in case the fate randomly pops, because of the sheer RNG and length of these spawn times. This is encouraging extremely unhealthy behavior in some people on my datacenter. You can't do anything while waiting for a fate, can't go to the washroom, can't go outside, because you risk missing it if you so much as leave your computer for longer than a minute. Each time I've joined a fate waiting for the spawns, only to wait several hours and be forced to stop, then ask people when I come back much later and be told it never even spawned and they kept waiting several hours after I left.

    There is zero reason for this beyond a cheap and easy way to drive up player retention numbers. Nobody should have to put themselves through this just to get a mount or a goofy elephant costume (both of which you have to do their respective fates TWICE, going through this obscenely long camp time more than once).

    Please put these fates on regular fate timers. Or at least make them have regular World Boss fate timers.

    They have regular world boss FATE timers. Those have always had a minimum of 24-36 hours on cooldown followed by another 24-36 hours in which the FATE has a chance to spawn, same as these. We saw the same initial situation at start of Shadowbringers when Archaeotania and Formidable were massively crowded and those crowds disappeared as players got their rewards and moved to other content.

    Don't camp. I was playing the game like I normally do start of an expansion (mostly sitting in my house scrip grinding). Relays would go out in linkshells and Discords that the FATE was up and I'd try to get in. Sometimes it didn't work. Sometimes it did and I was able to get the rewards.

    The expansion isn't even a month old yet, there will be plenty of time to get the rewards you want.

    Help me understand how this is not your choice to sit there and camp for this when it's not a limited time event.

    My issue with the fates is when they spawn as opposed to how long. The last 3 Chi fates that spawned have been at 1:30 am, 2:45 am and 4:14 am on my server. Literally in the middle of the night when most people are sleeping. I haven't seen it spawn once at a normal human time.

    I think they need to change when the boss spawns because they can happen late at night, not everyone works weird shifts hours or have literally no life.

    there was a Chi spawn on Hyperion that was at normal evening hours last night. Just get it when you can, it's not going anywhere.

    The EW World FATEs are player spawned FATEs and are on the World FATE timers already, as in there is a period between spawns that must pass before they have the possibility of being spawned again.....
    Their real "timer" is just when other players actively trigger it via the FATE chains, after the cool down period between spawns.
    These can be triggered purposely via FATE hunt groups actively working the related FATE chains, or by "accident" by a player or a group of player who just happen to complete the chain while doing FATEs in the zone.
    So, if you are having a problem with these spawns happening outside your play hours, this isn't an issue with anyone else or SE.... It's a you issue.
    If you want it changed so it spawns only during your play hours, then what about those players outside your play hours?

    BTW, this has been brought up for every world FATE in the game, even to the ARR Odin and Behemoth FATEs. They all have either a player-completion-chain and/or an environmental trigger, thus making their spawns appear to be random and possible even at "off hours" times. This means not every player in the game is on when a FATE triggers.

    These FATEs will be around for the duration of the game as a whole, you will have the opportunity to participate at some point and will get the rewards you want, just be patient.
    Meantime, join a "The Hunt" linkshell, as the hunt community also actively works to trigger, calls out the spawn of, and relays these world FATEs on your server and Cross World.
    Heck, currently you have a total of 6 (2 FATE name/zones, 3 instances per zone) of the FATEs possible, not to mention 6 more per Cross World server, so your chances of getting in on one are way higher than what would be normally.
