I was mostly agreeing with your post until this part. People don't get orange just by mastering their rotation, yes, but you still seem to imply it's all personal responsibility. There's factors varying degrees out of your control. In a pug group with 2 physical ranged? You're not getting orange even if you've got plenty of oranges under your belt, even if you know your rotation perfectly, mechanics perfectly, and can execute everything perfectly in the circumstances of those mechanics. Or maybe you will if you get amazing RNG.

In a perfect comp? RNG might still go "F you" and deny you that orange until you do another run.

Mastering one's job is merely the price of entry to have a chance.

Though, I do feel it's worth mentioning FFlogs has plenty of tools for in-depth analysis. I merely wish to caution against trusting ranking too much, for both evaluating one's own performance and for others'. Especially on the eve of savage's release - a lot of people might be doing their rotation fine but not shell out for crafted gear or so on, and the rankings will punish them for that.

Agreed, I don't put too much faith in rankings as you'll typically find groups using cheese strategies (such as single tank single healer strats in the current EXes to heavily pad their stats) and parsing at face value should be taken as guideline and not gospel

That's why there's in depth charts and tools that will decipher that information and if I were a raid leader that was asked to review a parse, I'd use the analysis tools as opposed to "oh you're in the top 2000? You're good to go" because that won't paint a proper picture and the devil is in the detail.

Life finds a way, like checking achievements, people you played with, etc.
Better explanation your profile won't display any logs but they still exist. If I find a player you did the clear with and that person doesn't have it private I can access it and see your numbers.

I mean you don't, but you're also not going to be optimised either because the game won't tell you you're clipping or drifting on GCDs, it won't explain why synchronized raid buffs and snapshotting is important, or any mistakes or bad habits you making because it won't present that data to you.

So they might be "good", but with that information they would be great.

I'm finding it hard to find a MC static due to not having parse logs available. Four out of five statics are requiring logs in pf or discord recruitments. I've cleared the previous raid tier but I don't have the logs.

Is this never intended to be enforced and just a blanket policy with no action ever intended to be taken?

I find this a massive advantage to PC user since I don't have the option available on playstation. I don't have the ability to see if I'm improving or if my gear setup makes a difference. I'm not asking to parse but a self dps meter for consoles would make a giant difference in being competetive. Currently the only available method to test my damage is the target dummy trials but in 3 minutes it can be heavily skewed by crits/dh and the times can vary by a lot.

Is there any advice on how to join a high end static without logs or the ability to optimize?

Sorry but if you consider playing with people in a static who doesn't want you there in the first place out of whatever reason and they would just take you cause they don't have a tool at hand then i have to say...you have really low standards i mean heck have some respect for yourself.

Taking parser away from people will just put the blindfold on them but that doesn't change the fact that they didn't wanted you in the first place, now they just don't know beforehand that they don't want you...and you want to play with people who don't want you in the first place so desperately? Especially in a static where people are usually a bit closer than in random groups and you would be totally fine with being there possibly unwanted but anyways instead of getting into the right group where people actually like you for whatever reason and have fun with you?

These people are usually the ones not using CDs, dropping combos or quintuple weaving from what I've seen though.
