And now for the other comments on this post. For one, OP asked about joining when they had no logs available to be used. I think they meanr that it was unfair because they had no logs of prior raiding experience but groups require them to measure if the person is reliable which is fair because you don\\\\'t want to waste their time. Kind of like when entry jobs irl require you to have 2-3 years of experience but you\\\\'re fresh out of college.

As for parsing, the tool itself is not evil and people should really get off their high horses and saying stuff like "report them when you see it." For one, you or anyone should not police on how SE and the GMs handle their ban system. If SE catered to everytime someone gets kicked for essentially griefing their group by dying constantly and refusing to actually keep up the pace, then it would be a massive witch hunt.

Yoshi-P may say parsing is not allowed, but will watch and show streamers using them. It\\\\'s grey area. He doesn\\\\'t want to deal bad players complaining about not being carried through content because someone bullied them into doing the bare minimum but he certainly knows that outright banning parsers would destroy raiding as a whole. And as much as people want to say "raiding scene is a minority," then why do they make high-end content? Why is there EX, Savage, Ultimate, and Unreal? Let alone have potions, food and gearsets that increase your damage? If the game can 100% survive on being totally casual then they would have already done so, seeing as not having to design said content would lighten their dev time.

But they know the answer, they need a game with variety and raiding is a core part of the game and genre. This has been said a million times before but here again.
I never wanted the players banned. Its more on since SE can\\\\'t pick a side they openly discriminate against a player base and its acceptable. I would love to have the same tools as the pc users or even a simple tool to see my dps but it will never happen since its on the devs. If a publisher makes a jump to add their product to consoles I feel they should try to not make on system more advantageous then the other at core gameplay. I understand addons do a lot and can never be matched but the game revolves around dps. The best example is banking, a pc user can see their statement, interest, amount, and history. A console player can only see approved/declined.

This could be be a me problem because I am an ESL. But I gotta ask ... is English such a limited language that the word "discrimination" need to be used so frequently? In my own language it's a heavy and critical word, reserved for serious social problem only. Not something liberally threw around whenever someone don't get their way ... in a video game no less.

But like I said, maybe that's just me.

Let's pretend third-party parse tools just didn't work in this game, and so they simply weren't something our community could use. Can we all agree that would remove the current hurdle the original poster is facing?

So, for this player, essentially a third party tool is creating a barrier for access. Isn't that the whole problem with parsing tools the developers wanted to avoid?

Requiring parse logs from a static is a long way away from using a parser to harmlessly monitor your own performance.
Except a static is not an in-game thing. It's a personal-defined group, as such it's completely reasonable for player themselves to decide which parameter to join their group. In this instance, a parser (or lack-there-off) does not prevent the player from accessing the content. There are PF which for the most part, can be freely join. Even so the game also include other things to let players define their parameters of who can and can not join. Or what next, are we gonna cry ilvl requirement a discrimination against ungeared player? Is Duty Complete a discrimination against players who haven't cleared?

In this instance, the OP is simply masking a personal problem as "discrimination" to play the victim. There is pug, there is casual static in which he/she can use as stepping stones to higher level group. The problem is the OP is wanting to join a Midcore static despite having no qualification. I ask ... why stop there? What about HC static? What about week 1 static? Are we gonna accusing them of discrimination 'cause they don't just accept anyone? I had been in week 1 static before and do you know how much drama ensure when someone does not perform as expected? If anything, filters like these is better for everyone's mental health in the long run because it let people of similar mindset and skill set to group up together.

It is not. However, it has become a popular buzzword people like to throw around. To the point it is beginning to lose its meaningfulness.

What the OP is describing isn’t discrimination—it’s a static laying down basic requirements for any applicants to their group; which is common for a lot of statics, and especially ones that consider themselves to be higher-tier (which it seems like this is what the OP is aiming for). I’m assuming they are using “discrimination” to refer to how PS4/PS5 players are unable to run a parser on their own, but that’s never stopped console raiders from being decent players. They just have to rely on other to upload the actual log, but the website tools that are actively used in bettering one’s performance are as available to console players as they are PC players.
