Grand Company Squadron Recruits

Who are these people?

They don't seem to have any actual backstory beyond the placard that lists their name, job, where they are from and the reason they joined. Googling on the internet yields no information. They are a mystery, an enigma. What's their story?

Considering how detailed many of the NPC's are in the game, even ones that you spend only a small amount of time with in a quest, it's surprising that squadron recruits haven't been fleshed out. They don't even have dialogue.

Has anyone spent the time giving their squadron recruits personalities and stories? Do you have a favorite?

(Don't forget to level up your squadron so you can get the new minion/mount boxes from the Grand Company.)

Cecily wasn't the brightest in school, often daydreaming she would stare out of the conjury class windows and dream of fun. As a result she never progressed far as a healer. Thrust into your party she often panics and heals herself instead of the tank.

Ah. Aha. Wait what? I've been desynthing loads of stuff since 6.0 launched, because I figured I was out of decent uses for seals, and I coulda been getting these? Hot damn.

Edit: Son of a bleep, first one I get is a Gobwalker minion, which I've been trying to dig up buttons to craft myself for weeks now. >___<

Right? The mount/minion boxes finally gave me the impetus to finish off the push to Captain. I've been stockpiling gear to spam turn-ins for those sweet, sweet, seals and boxes. My poor maxed out retainers are going to be happy now that I finally got it this morning. I'm curious to see what treasures are hidden in those boxes.
