You're absolutely right - most of the hackers that I've personally come across on Aether were more of an annoyance than anything (as I said, they were using something that would let them run super fast and jump super far, making it impossible to catch them; a slightly more annoying version that I've experienced is players who are able to pick you out of a group of tons of your teammates and auto-silence you as soon as you start casting LB). Having said that, I still don't think those kind of stats would lead to an 80~90% win rate unless they're doing this in premades with other good players (as their post-game stats are not at all uncommon for a decent player - especially for someone who has infinite fetter ward as a MNK). Are people reporting this person and SE is just ignoring the reports? Is it the typical issue of SE being unwilling to look at videos and other evidence posted to third-party sources and accepting only "in-game" proof? If so, that's dumb and SE needs to get their crap together.

Notwithstanding the above, I still believe that the biggest issue plaguing PvP in this game is how poor of a job SE has done at helping players understand the basic mechanics of the mode. For example, with respect to Secure, nothing in the game nor on Lodestone tells players how many points you get per server tick for each base captured versus killing drones versus killing the big node (nor when any of these spawn); the same thing goes for all of the objectives in Seize, Onsal, and Shatter - most of the team generally has no idea how many points things give and so they don't know what to prioritize. It is also utterly unclear to many players that your team gains / loses points for kills / deaths (and how Battle High plays into that). In fact, many players don't even know what Battle High is. In Rival Wings, you are basically at the mercy of hoping that the people who take your team's Brute Justices have any idea what they're doing and don't just hang out in the base. Because SE does such a bad job at teaching people the basic mechanics of PvP, you generally end up with teams where at least half of the players have no idea what they're doing. Sometimes, if you call out objectives, people will follow, but it's always like herding cats. The only place players can really go to figure out how to play these modes well is resources such as the existing PvP community, which is often very exclusive / elitist (my earlier point) and drives many newcomers away. It becomes a vicious cycle that results in an abundance of matches where your team is in 2nd place and attacking the 3rd place team while the 1st place team is off capturing all of the objectives. I think that hackers would stand out much less if SE bothered to teach players how to play this mode (instead of just throwing them into matches and hoping they'll figure it out - 9 times out of 10, they don't). I've sadly seen many more games ruined by indifferent players who are not given the tools to succeed (or who are just there for the exp and feed) than hackers.
