Where can I lodge an official complaint about how absolutely awful the GM service is?
At the time of writing I am stuck and have made two GM calls so far. Each of my "stuck" calls was responded to with a canned response that had nothing to do with my issue and they did not even attempt to reset me. The first told me to watch the lodestone site for news regarding my issue and the second one even told me to call the support center tomorrow! No attempt was made to unstick me or even remotely address my issue. It took a third ticket requesting a supervisor before I got any sort of attention. This time it finally came via a /tell.
No, return and teleport were not working either. Why bother working so hard to turn around a previously failing game when your customer service is this bad? How about at least a little personal attention to the tickets and issues of your paying customers?
[Insert comparison to XI here where GMs handled issues via /tell]
Also, the feedback section in the forum does not have an area for general feedback.
Update on my specific issue:
Upon requesting a supervisor I finally received a tell from "Rep Verytus" who decided to actually try and assist me with my issue. Edine in Ul'dah was causing anyone trying to move to the Mercantile Wards to become "stuck". Of the group that was there it seems everyone tried to crash their game. Only one came back, which was cause for concern that I may not even be able to get back in without someone attending to the matter. I force closed my game and upon logging back in I was still stuck. This time, however, the GMs were able to reset me and I was fixed. A /tell would have solved this issue in much less than an hour and a half. Of course, the supervisor defended their use of canned responses and lack of a /tell because they believed it was a "server issue".
Rep Bublex >> I understand. Normally, when something like that happens, it is a server issue (too much latency and such) that is the cause. This would not be something a GM could assist with. I think there was just confusion over the cause. As I said, it is not normal the way you were rescued. I will review all previous GM contacts to see exactly what happened.
>> Rep Bublex: So a GM actually talking to someone and assisting is not normal? That's bad...
