Healers please

As a healer myself. I'm often go into extreme fights thinking other healers will heal and or aoe heal for stacked markers, but what I'm left with is they keep dpsing.

I know more damage the better but please if I wanted to solo heal I'll put a pf up and solo heal. I like to dps to. Not sure if this is a trend now but its almost every time I do a extreme now a healer doesn't want to heal.

Now I know whm brings the big heals with cure 3 and I could heal through it but I should expect some help.

I went in with my sage once and this whm never put up a medica 2 or cure 3 just kept dpsing away and I'm stuck doing all the healing.

So please I beg of you. do some aoe healing succor, medica 2 cure 3 if close, medica, prognosis ect.

while i do agree that this is an issue that crops up from time to time, bear in mind context

the extreme fights have been cleared without a healer, the lack of damage in them is so blatant that you really dont need two healers unless one goes down

Speaking as a sage, I can literally dump panhaima for the first styx and ignore the stack and the second can be a combo of kerachole/pneuma and ixochole if somebody had a vuln stack beforehand. The third should it happen can be solved with panhaima and kerachole.

Thats assuming we dont have a reaper or summoner or a tank that use their own aoe healing. The only thing that really hurts in that fight is styx which as i just explained the ease of negating and the meteor patterns which are a one hit kill

also you're asking them to gcd heal when in fact everyone is more than likely using ogcd heals as they are flat out better in most scenarios

There is some tight healing parts. Where you say you use panhaima which is awesome on the first styx its the before which I can understand using cure 3 2 times and assize no problem. As long as we the healers are rotating through our abilities back and forth I have no problem. The problem is no healing output at all is coming through the other healer. phobos is solved by my bell first styx can be solved by stating what I said earlier. and then that stack I can medica 2 and medica for everyone to be fine but that problem is I'm not getting support through the other healer. I would love to dps 24/7 if I could but the issue is I cant because of the lack of healing through the other person. Some people go down from Astral or moving platforms and I'm left with the grunt work. While the other healer doesn't take notice. Its just annoying you know.

Just dumb. Would love some support from other healers. I had a sch bluntly say no to me when I asked if they could maybe do some succor since my shit is enough to heal through it. Like I could be that way and not heal and see how far the team gets D:

THIS ! They said that to a healer for a TRIAL I tried to say - no that is stupid, but they didn't listen to my mi'qote toon of course. So we went in - wiped in 10 seconds or so, and they blamed the TANK. lol Telling a healer not to heal is beyond dumb. If you want to prove something go lift weights or something. Bake a cake. Don't try to do dungeons and trials without heals. Just no.

Sure, you don't want to throw just anyone into that type of gameplay, but I'm skilled enough to cover healing on either my PLD or RDM in many dungeons. When I do get the chance for a full (or heck, 3 man) dungeon run with FC members, I often convince them we don't need a proper healer. The initial reactions are funny, but we end up having a blast as mobs and bosses just melt under the pressure of 3x DPS + Tank in a dungeon. Plus, budgeting and timing heals/MP becomes much more critical in those scenarios which makes things interesting for me, and I have to adapt to mechanics that were designed with a proper healer in mind. It's great fun to break away from the boring script and seeing just what we can get away with, but I know that kind of pressure isn't fun for everyone.

After reading what I have on WAR lately, though, I'm certainly going to have to give it a try once SE fixes the stupid audio issues. I just can't bring myself to log in most of the time because playing with sound muted is a huge downer.

I notice this even in leveling roulettes. Healers dont want to heal they just want to be green DPS and get a fast queue.

Those two EX trials has pretty low healing requirement. When I brought WHM into the farm PFs, the only time I actually use Medica II was when I have no target to dps. These moments only happens during both bosses’ ultimate attacks. The rest are fixed by responsible use of oGCDs & lily heals. Of course, this is assuming the encounter is progressing without too much hiccups.

Cure II? Regens? Only if somebody took unnecessary damage. More than often they are overkill anyway because my co-heal also thinking something similar. But such is the way of PF: you will never know your rando co-healers’ methods until one or two pulls. Beyond that, adjust or request.

SGEs also prefer to keep their addersgall rolling to keep their MP healthy: those are considerable amount of healing they’re putting out, enough for me to not touch my own GCDs (except lilies) as a WHM. Why do I want to negate their Kerakeia, and other free heals by topping people up unless needed? That’d be disrespecting their resources.
