This isn't really new ground for JRPGs or even final fantasy in specific.
But they aren't Gods.
They're Primals.
We kill Primals.
Besides, Religious deities cannot be proven and there are tons of different Religions from many eras. Either accept that they're all right or they're all wrong. There's no inbetween as it's hypocritical to say one is right but the others aren't as another Religion will say the same thing. Whose right? Whose wrong? No one will find out until they die.
Hahahaha like this hasn't been done before. With real world stuff.

No, this is awesome. Keep it going man.
There is a god in this game called Lakshmi that we have to fight. And Lakshmi is one of the Hindu gods. Tell me how this type of storyline will not offend Hindu people. I, myself, am a Hindu person and I felt offended at that part of the storyline.
the game takes religious aspects from all over the world and incorporates them into the game as a type of mythology. Even Christian and abrahamic stuff is in the FF series, and you don't see me dowsing ff8 with holy water.

Would it help you to know that it is made clear that primals are not the deities themselves, but what the summoners EXPECT the deities to be like--except imperfect, because people are imperfect?
And if you think they're being mean to Hindus such as yourself, hang in there for EW. You will change your mind.

I feel offended by this thread.
