To all the team members at Square Enix who worked on this game over the past 12 years, I just want to thank you for this experience. This has grown to become my favorite Final Fantasy experience. You have given me many fond memories, from Gridania to the edge of the universe, and this latest expansion has been an absolutely satisfying conclusion to that journey.

I've tried to respond to this for the past twenty minutes but just don't have the words.

I've been an unruly passenger at times, but I genuinely appreciate the journey from prerelease all the way up to the current day. XIV is a rags to riches story in the best possible way.

A very long time ago, under a different name, I said "If anyone can do it, it's Square." Thank you for proving me right again and again-- though in my wildest dreams I never imagined just how far XIV would go.

"Incredible" or "awesome" don't cover how thankful I am or how much of an impact this arc has had on me personally.

"Thank you" just doesn't suffice.

Maybe this post is a bit much, but seeing the birth and rebirth of this game along with its ascent over the years really has been something to see.

I know this meme says Yoshi-P, but this is how I feel about the entire team as a new-ish player to XIV. They've turned code into magic.

I will definitely give props to the dev team since a lot of the step backs tend to be caused by corporate meddling since XIV is earning the company a significant income. The rest you can chock it up to a new thing they tried but didn't really pan out (Lords of Vermillion...).

I agree with OP this is my favorite Final Fantasy now , with the rose tinted glasses in the direction of FFtactics and FFX. I may raise up issues in the forums about my class when I see it needs something said but tbh it’s because I’m passionate about the game , if I didn’t care I wouldn’t even bother writing in here. I’m pushing over 11k hrs on the game and I have no intention of stopping anytime soon that should say a lot about what they have created here. FF14 will go down as Legendary and I’m happy to be apart of it giving my time to experience the game.The raids have kept my interest otherwise without them I would of never stuck around and I’m so glad we’re not in the HW raid tier anymore dark dark days. So many good and bad memories here but that’s what makes it great you gotta have the pain too.

And yeah, awesome, awesome game. I spend more time admiring all the weird little details than I do anything else. Like how the wind interacts with my gear and hair, or how the trees sway, how the ocean changes depending on weather, how if you watch long enough you'll see a shooting star.
It's amazing.
