Terrible Idea: Insomnia and Fantasia Usage

Just a Venting post.

As I find myself wrapping up a final few minor tasks before I start working on the pre-patches between Stormblood and Shadowbringers, I finally committed to doing something I was hemming and hawing about since I finished A Realm Reborn.

I used my freebie Fantasia to change my character from a Miqo'te to an Elezen.

This was done as my anti-insomnia medication was heavily kicking in and getting VERY drowsy.

Before I could do more than make changes to the Elezen clan and a change to a new birthday, my tiredness overrode my better sense and I clicked finish. My foggy brain thought that was where I'd get to change the nitty-gritty of the character, but I just clicked done. Now I find myself with an Elezen character with a totally random appearance I didn't give myself any say in.

Guess I get to burn $10 on a store bought Fantasia, but this'll be AFTER I get some sleep.

Don't spend money on the second Fantasia until you've had a play around with your accidental character at the aesthetician. Once you've got things like hairstyle and editable details sorted out, you might be happy enough with it as you are.

Also try making a new character in the character creator rather than doing it directly in the Fantasia window, if you didn't do that already.

Always use a retainer fantasia first. You can see the character in game, try different lightings in different areas and also see how your glamours look like.
