Customizable gender identity? (for emotes)

I really think that trying to turn this into a '' progressive '' issue is a tad obnoxious and trying to spin it in a weird way.
In the end of the day It'd just be nice with more options but I don't think that it's a political issue lol.

There's some on male characters I think are rly dumb and others on female characters I think are dumb.
The female ones actually tend to be better animated tho, the male ones are usually more stiff and less fluid.



Are we really going to pretend like this isn't a thing irl?
Men and women do move and tend to emote differently irl to some extent it's social but it's also because we're quite literally structured differently and find different things comfortable.
Meme aside, men don't like to sit with their legs closed for example for quite obvious reasons.
And women have generally wider hips and are more bottom heavy and move differently than most men do.
Women also have breasts which affects how women might cross their arms too.

I don't see why emotes shouldn't be more reflective of how people are irl.
Should they all be masculine?
Why?

Me wanting to hold my bow in a different way is not gender politics. There is nothing particularly masculine about holding your bow in a casual manner.

I'd rather see them focus their efforts on adding more gender based emotes and costumes rather than spending several patches trying to be inclusive to the 0.00000001%. I wouldn't mind if it were just spending a day adding the emotes into the pool like the other poster said /fdance or /fcpose but I have a feeling it would be very involved and would take a long time to implement and add compatibility with male characters and their outfits. The fair thing to do is to focus more on gender specific things rather than trying to make it all fluid. It would probably only clog the dev pipeline if they tried to make it fluid. Thankfully, these things are supported by the mogstation so if you want to see more emotes and such, the funds made there is pushed into new emotes and the like.

Well that's reasonable, i did misunderstand it. I've already said before that i don't see a problem with thoose things, different /cpose would be nice i guess.

This is a fantasy game where you get to create your own unique character. Adding options only adds to the individuality of each character.

So open up the flood gates.

What if my character is an au ra raised by a garlean.. why should i run like the au ra of the steppe.

What if my female hyur is a tomboy and would never run like current female hyurs

Hyur raised in the high houses of ishgard might half developed that same elezen swish.

What if im a guy who is fabulous and want to run like a Disney princess.

These are all tools to tell your characters story

So we id like to see them expand all animations to all races and all genders.

Also not being able to tell the difference of viera sex at a glance is actually a feature of the race.

This just opens up the doors for people to basically take the p*ss rather than adding individual uniqueness to a character.

SE should implement NEW emotes and animations that we can unlock. Leave the old ones alone so the unique races and genders can keep them. More options are good but a lot of races and genders would look ridiculous with certain emotes and idles.

I’m not convinced people know exactly what they’re asking for on this forum.
