That's actually a part of their lore. xD But I agree, too. Best to keep certain emotes feminine or masculine for the gender you chose.

Though certain emotes that other races have or gender specific poses that certain jobs have would be nice if they could be interchangeable At least to a certain degree.

I know there are lots of people who would prefer the emotes from a "male" character or a "female" character but can't. Some example are the idle pose for dark knight, or the sit pose for miqo'te. I can't imagine it would be too much work to allow players to simply choose their identity and then have the other emote be loaded, so is there any chance this will be considered?

If you just wanted pronouns in the chat bar that would be easy - but you're asking for animations. And that's a big ask requiring a LOT of developer time.

Why not? Giving players more options is always a good thing. Also there is no reason to still gender or even race lock stuff like poses or hair styles.

Not when it comes at the expense of other things which is always what happens in 14. Releasing genderlocks has already lead to more feminine clothing. We’d probably be missing out on more glams than we already are this expansion.

Their lore states that sex of a viera can’t be determined until adulthood, so as a baby they’re allowed to live in Eruyt until they come of age.

We’re not playing baby Viera’s so it’s very evident what our sexes are.
