Yeah, I get what you’re saying, but I feel like if I ran it even half of what you did I would just settle for another piece and try again next week for the piece I was looking for.

23 times? I remember when I had to kill thousands of monsters for that 0.01% loot drop. They don't make them like they used to!23 times. Twenty-three times. I've had to go in. I come out empty handed. I've carried a few groups as Healer and even then I got nothing.
It is extremely demoralizing when nigh consistently you get 1s and 5s and 10s or get outrolled when you roll a 91 just to get the piece you want. I understand the grind is there because "We need to help others clear for the first time!" I know it's there for that reason. It's just extremely frustrating running the same fight over and over and over 23 times straight and getting nothing out of it to the point you basically just don't feel like it's fun anymore for the week. Sure, we have Tomes! But those devalue extremely quickly until we get the Weekly Tomestones.
We need a pity system that allows us to exchange for pieces on Normal Mode clears and checks to see if you've received the reward for the week from that specific fight. Make it a weekly. Run the fight 4 times and then get a Normal Mode Token for that week to exchange for any piece you want to get for exchange. It'll clear out the Reward for that specific fight for that week once you obtain the token, and if you've already cleared out the reward for the week, you can't get the token.
It is just extremely frustrating running these fights right now.

The system it's like this to "trap" certain players to keep that que moving. I mean, now each boss drop 8 tokens so in reality there is no reason for having different currencies. All turns could give 1 to each member and let them buy whatever they wanted with current cost.
Anyway as a tip, if you haven't done this yet out of desperation, try to hold a little bit the rol for the piece you want so others distributed first. FFXIV player base is rather casual and a good amount of participants will roll for every items just to get something and move on, unless you end with players wanting to get X glamour.
At the very least will incrase your chances a bit.

There already is a pity system.
Roll need on what you wanted, and greed on the rest.
- You will get SOMETHING. Just not the things you wanted in the order you wanted them.
That said, I do feel it should just give a 'Pandaemonium token' and not be by type. I find it outdated that it's split by type...
But under the system they have, their expectation is that people will have a backup roll...
By week 2 or 3, no one will be left rolling on body except for the people who didn't get it after 32 tries on week one. But they also expected those people will have gotten legs or accessories or hats and gloves or something in week one.

I’d rather they just give up on the specific token system and loot rolls completely. Give everyone a token, then charge 1 token for an accessory, 2 for a minor piece of armor, 4 for a major piece of armor, and retain the 1 weekly clear token for the weapon.
Not only would this reduce the annoyance of everyone on the datacenter going for chest/legs, but I won’t have to keep throwing away piles of junk once the tier is over. No more opening the token chest and scooting before you get 8 tokens you don’t want.
0/8 here gonna try again tommorrow because i got bored

The only slight mercy this time around is we no longer need to worry about belts.
The menacing aura of every Lalafell.

I did see multiple party finders up today but the thing is they all put "i want chest, rest is yours" instead of "we all stay until we all get what we want"...

As someone who had to run Dun Scaith fifty-two times to get the one thing I wanted, I totally agree. The random aspect and lotting is fine for the most part but there needs to be some kind of safety net for people who are just flat out unlucky and can't do a static.
