No one is argueing that DRK doesn't need help.
I think everyone agrees that DRK needs adjustments to their survival because the difference between the tanks in dungeons is very noticable.
Just nerfing the sustain of other tanks is not the right approach to that issue.
But yes only speaking from raid mentality DRK is in a good spot because damage is king as silly as it sounds for a tank. :/
DRK's damage advantage isn't that useful even in raids.

Speedrunning raids is a niche within a niche, we've got to stop using DPS as the be all end all, especially for tanks. A dead tank does 0 DPS.

Yes, in theory.
Overall I think damage isn't high on the priority list for Tanking classes. It should be self-sustain, mitigation and the ability to control the fight(move the boss, stun, silence).
Like Kalaam says if a Tank dies you do 0 DPS. Unfortunately the mentality has always been just have enough mitigation to survive a Tankbuster and put everything else into damage.
Despite the fact Healers are crying they have nothing to heal. And when they have something to heal(DRK) they don't want to bother with it anyway.
If things remain as they are you can look forward to WAR/PLD as MT and GNB/DRK as OT. GNB probably is decent enough to be a MT too. DRK is lacking and there is little chance of recovery if the party makes a screwup.
Guess that makes DRK the most challenging to play. Embrace masochism.
Too many people are testing out their tanks against dummies.

JP thread is complaining about DRK damage being too much. There are small statements of blood weapon. But nobody on JP is complaining about TBN, Dark Mind, Living Dead or the self sustain issues.
That’s not what I have been reading. Currently reading in the small, minute, spans that I can manage. I am seeing lots of complaints about Blood Weapon, TBN, old skills missing, Oblation, sustain compared to other tanks, salted earth being useless, even with Salt and Darkness, and more.
I am also seeing calls for folks to remain civil from some of the playerbase, in hopes that their feedback won’t be ignored. Currently in the range of posts around Dec 3rd

Yes they are. They are complaining about much the same things as here; just not in the rant-laced, over the top way that the English forums tend to express themselves.
I would even go so far to say that the tone of the current feedback regarding DRK is noticeably more directly critical compared to what I have observed to be the norm in the past.

Because the DRK rework they were going to do ended up becomming reaper instead so they just threw together some random ogcds and called it a day for EW DRK
