Level 70 class quest not available.

I have spent hours looking online and pretty much all help sites for FFXIV are pathetic with a glaring lack of, or incomplete, information for pretty much anything I look for, unlike the great sites I had available when I played WOW.

I opened a ticket with Square Enix 5 days ago and they are just ignoring it and have not responded.

The Level 70 Black Mage quest is not showing to me. The game came up with a message that the next class quest was available. I went to the quest giver, and nothing. I have completed all pre-reqs and quests needed for the class quest (or the game wouldn't even prompt me that it was available) FOR SURE. I have looked over and over again on the sites I could find any info on, and all is done, please don't bother typing a post if you are just gonna say "Ohhh you missed something" or "You need to do main story quests" because I DID NOT miss anything.

Can anyone answer why this quest would not be there where it should be?

And one other question: How do I change my main character for Forum Posts? It is listing the wrong one over on the left. In fact, I have gone into settings and looked at everything, I can see all my characters there, but there is no way to change or update the main character.

I was trying to look at your lodestone to see if you had progressed MSQ enough in order to unlock it but unless you have a different character your thaumaturge is only 11. Also as far as I could see it looks like you're still in Heavensward content as well which until you gain access to Stormblood MSQ you cant get those quests either.

That all being said... a quick google search for ffxiv black mage 70 quest gave me the top result as https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/w...ck_mage_quests , which in turn leads to the quest One Golem to Rule Them All, which is from Lalai in Ul'dah, Steps of Thal at x12.9 y13.3. If you do in fact have a black mage unlocked and at level 70 and this quest doesnt show up check your journal to see what the last completed black mage quest was and work from there, otherwise at best all I can say is make sure you have your Job Stone equipped and make sure your MSQ has progressed enough to actually be able to gain access to the quest.

You haven't missed anything that you know of. Let's be real here, you probably missed something. What are the odds that the game is actually bugged vs you missed a quest somewhere and didn't notice?

If you go to the forum settings menu (top right, next to the logout button) you'll see an "edit character" option in the column on the left. That'll let you change which character is linked to your forum posts.

Aside from making sure you're looking for the right NPC in the right place (which I'll assume yes, everything in the 60s is the same NPC/location), often this will be a case of "oops, picked up the quest and forgot about it, been sat in my journal the whole time."

There's also the option to enable the MSQ guide thing that shows up in the top left by default, which will also direct you to available job quests, might help figure out where you're meant to be.

I'm not actually so sure about the "game wouldn't even prompt" assertion. Might be true, might just be a message to say there is one at that level, but message doesn't check for requirements.
