    Muting SE

    The macro <se> has been a useful feature for organizing callouts on high-level raids. But people often find the need to spam in literally anything else. Constantly hearing a ping in your headphones when there's no need to be one is incredibly annoying. The game needs a way to mute these pings, especially if they're being abused. Muting system audio is NOT a solution. I should be able to enjoy and hear the game without having to listen to someone spamming the <se> macro. Even turning off the chat window or filtering out alliance/party text does not work. This system is so easy to abuse it baffles me how there isn't a setting in place to prevent misuse.

    I'm pretty sure spamming callout sound effects is a reportable offense, if it means anything.

    I'll always use it in labyrinth of the ancients (Ancient Flare barrier wipes anyone?) and in PvP for callouts when I know people aren't paying attention. I'd rather piss off one player than have a wipe/ect

    Preventing misuse is the fact that people would get offences on their accounts. If they're an idiot spamming them then just report them and SE will take care of it.

    Wanting a mute for it counteracts what it can help, sooooooo

    This. The GMs actually do their jobs in this game, so if someone's griefing, just report them. They'll get sorted out.
