Can't loging on PS5 for two days PC is fine

For the past two days I cannot log into the game on my PS5. I press Login on the launcher on PS5 a nd nothing seemingly happens after a while I get the error: ERROR: 0x0000001C SSLError: 0x00000000 Timeout was reached ok

Login into the same account on my PC it works fine.

    Here's what I tried on my PS5:
    - Fully rebooting the system
    - Reinstalling the game
    - Switching DNS from automatic to Cloudflare and Google (1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8)
    - Factory reseting the PS5, reinstaling the game
    - Using a second PS5 (our household have two)
    - Trying to connect the consoles directly to the cable modem and bypassing our router.

I'm currently located in Anchorage Alaska and apparently other users on Reddit also in Alaska are reporting the same issues. https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme..._ps5_launcher/

I am having the same issue. I tried all the work arounds on my PS5, with no joy. Very randomly I will get in. Spoke with Square Enix, my traffic was getting blocked by the GCI Seattle hub. Being that I'm in Alaska, and everyone here with the same issue is in Alaska, I assume it's safe to say it is something GCI did recently because pretty much everyone in Alaska is forced to use GCI as their service provider. When I hotspot my PS5 to my phone (AT&T) the issue is resolved but that was just a troubleshooting step. And of course, after a 45 minute chat session with GCI, I received no resolution which is normal for GCI (Alaskan's, you can attest to this, I am sure). I know this isn't a resolution, but it is definitely something GCI is doing or has done on their network. Now if only we could get Square Enix to talk to GCI, that would be a win. As a side note, a workaround is to hotspot to your phone if you can first, and once logged in, switch networks back to your regular wired or wifi network until GCI gets their crap figured out. I can verify this works

Weird that PC and console seemingly use different routing for logging in since our PC can log in just fine. When my wife comes back from work I'll try tethering her cellphone she's with AT&T, I tried with mine but I'm with GCI so the issue still persist.

I can confirm using my wife cellphone data on AT&T worked. As soon as I reached Endwalker mainscreen before selecting Start I switched back to our home Wi-Fi and could proceed to log-in. I contacted GCI but not luck with the rep I got... is there anything Square can do to help ?

I asked Square Enix, but all they said was to contact the ISP and let them know that the traffic was dropping at the Seattle GCI server (gci-communi.ear4.seattle1.level3.net [4.71.158.2]) And of course as I stated before, when I contacted GCI via chat session (phone calls take two hours to get a rep) they took my information and the chat session timed out. I tried again, got a new rep, they again took my information, acted like they were interested, asked me dumb questions about my cable modem (blinking lights, etc.) and I stated the obvious to them that I was chatting to them via the cable modem (duh). They then again said they were looking something up and the chat session timed out again. If you are able to get hold of GCI (I wish you the best of luck) and actually get hold of a higher level technician, you can let them know that Square Enix's traffic is dropping at the above hub. The SE technician also told me to make sure that traffic to these ports was not being blocked: ▼TCP
54992 through 54994,
55006 through 55007,
55021 through 55040

As as update: I was able to get on today, through my PS5, without switching networks so maybe someone did something to fix it? Not sure

Yup I can confirm that it works and when I got a hold of a rep it was a known issue in their internal ticker the change to fix the routing was done last night.

Issue is seemingly resolved as of now
