Though I usually assume those are done when we're offline. At the very least, the 'sleeping' one is; as per the rested bonus. So maybe they take a crap, bathe, eat and sleep when we log out.
Eating, Sleeping, and Bathing have all been in Cutscenes at one point so it IS CONFIRMED that our characters do that sometimes.

But going to the bathroom? Never once.

And no, I'm not asking for a cutscene of us sitting on a bowl but maybe at least seeing us enter a stall or outhouse and a fade to black on the door closing. You know, something tasteful.

Interestingly, up until ... the start of Stormblood, I want to say ... you DID take massive fall damage in dungeons.
The Aery and Hullbreaker Isle being the most notable I remember.
It still could not be fatal, since both were in spots where it was impossible to already have aggro.

There aren't even bathrooms in your inn room (seemingly)...

Anyway, why would we need an explanation for falling when there isn't one for all the stabbing and slashing and biting and crushing and fire and poison etc etc? Too much realism and we'd be dead by level 5.

Quoting so that I can say your bunny is cute. Good job on it.

But also on related note: there was a change implemented around mid-ARR maybe on the run up to HW where you dont die if you meet two criteria: no aggro, full HP or survivable HP. I dont know if its still the case but Rogue/Ninjas have an unlockable trait that increases their fall tolerance. So, whatever part of the rogue questline explains that extra tolerance might be a hint at why you now no longer die from fall in dungeons

As a WHM main back in ARR that Hullbreaker one resulted in a few heart attacks when the tank would dash of to pull the next pack with barely any HP while I was still falling and not in healing range. I think that sort of thing was a factor in why they turned off fall damage in dungeons.

Breathing underwater, aetheryte teleportation, why we pay gil to teleport, how we can summon 7 friends to do a raid, why we see telegraphs during battle, job changing, I mean the game has a ton of in-game lore explanations for nearly everything mechanic. I was just asking if there is one for this, I wasn’t sure if they mentioned it in the game and I can’t remember everything. Thank you everyone.

The lore reason is being Final Fantasy. Every person in the FF multiverse can survive jumps and falls from great height.

    I knew I shouldn't have a headpiece that hides the ears; she's a catgirl
