Is there a lore reason for why we can fall from great heights?

In dungeons and raids, you see our characters jump or fall from massively high areas by just landing on their feet, usually when transitioning between areas. Just as there is a lore reason we can breathe underwater, is there one for why we can survive such huge falls?

Generally speaking, don't try to loresplain everything that is either just a necessity of gameplay or just meant to look cool. Because a lot of times the answer is just "that's the way it is because the gameplay necessitates it" or "they just did that to make it look cool".

Specifically speaking, it's probably an abstraction of magic.

Superhero landing is such a well established trope, frequently used in FF games aswell, it kinda doesnt need an explanation. We would all be weirded out if it wasnt just a thing in this world.

The Blessing of Light prevents your aether from being corrupted, and conveniently the main cause of death by falling is due to a large amount of earth aether rushing upwards into your feet.

Or sleeps.
Or bathes.
Or eats for any reason other than 'stat buffs'. (I can't imagine every person in the world gets a stat buff when they eat).

Though I usually assume those are done when we're offline. At the very least, the 'sleeping' one is; as per the rested bonus. So maybe they take a crap, bathe, eat and sleep when we log out.
