That is not true. They all matter. rDPS isn’t the end all. It’s just what people think matters most because it’s what ff logs uses to rank. Now, what SE uses to balance I have no idea.

I think people look at rdps because that is the fairest assesment of how much damage you contributed to killing the boss, it's weird because it gives credit to the buffer instead of maybe a samurai playing perfectly and boosting your rdps, so performance wise your rdps is at least kinda out of your control, but when it comes to balance it shows how good your buffs can be, which coming back to the discussion, shows reaper's buff to be pretty good, i dont see why you should disregard that, this is literally just a fact, it is barely worse than battle litany while rpr's adps is way higher than drg.

RPR should be below MNK, DRG,NIN,RDM as they have the most brain dead dps there is..

Psst. BLM is just as easy to play as RPR, and SMN is even easier. Just throwing that out there. Game isn't balanced around ease of use, although I do personally feel it should at least be a consideration when balancing jobs.

On paper BLM could arguably be said to be easier than RPR, but in practice they're absolutely not.
The logs also back this up, the difference between a great, okay and bad BLM is huge.
For RPR the difference is significantly smaller.

Arcane Crest is just a filler HoT that has no real impact on anything, unless you are running them groups like over in China where they cleared the EX Trial with no healers. Generally no one is really looking to do that except for lulz and bragging rights, so what is the issue here? No seriously what is the issue? If i'm not mistaken, this is the games 4th expansion, and previously this wasn't really a thing before, so did anyone fail to clear savage, extreme and ultimates with Arcane Crest? well????????

If a class is hard to play, it doesn't mean that it should be top dog, nor that an easier class should be bottom of the barrell. WoW is notorious for allowing easy classes to be hitting good numbers. Players meme about it, but don't complain like what you see here. You just reroll and get on with it if it bothers you that much, or you can stick with your class good or bad and make it work. I mean look at the blasted balancing here, it is actually good, the classes are a good margin within one another in terms of dps, yet there is sooo much crying over essentially NOTHING. Square has made the game in such a way that all jobs can clear everything. LITERALLY ANY COMBINATION OF JOBS CAN CLEAR ANYTHING. Yet the whinning oh jesus the whinning... Idk i just find the "i hope se doesnt listen to forums that want the game to be more balanced because my favourite job is currently benefitting from it" so incredibly stupid, for all you know in 2 years or maybe just a couple patches it could end up on the undertuned side, it just seems so backwards to ask for things to not improve, is the game gonna be so much worse if reaper is a bit worse/the other jobs are better comparatively square needs to disregard all feedback?

Btw, up to this point arcane crest didnt exist, so i dont even know what your first point even means, of course ppl cleared content in the last few xpacs like what? For the next tier if i had to guess its probably going to be pretty good to get aoe second wind every 30s, especially when ppl are less familiar with the fights and there are more mistakes happening, the fact you cant compare it to any other melee's defensive skill says enough, shade shift is 2 min cd and a shield only for yourself with no hot, and drg has no defensive whatsoever, i really dont know what to say, one melee outheals tanks and the other just hopes it gets heals/shields for raidwides, seems balanced

It's padded healing, it is not impactful healing. Ofc it will out heal a DRK or somthing, it is healing everyone with a low potency that won't do much except padding, that goes unnoticed until you look at the logs specifically for it - but yeah, everyone.
