Moon Worshiper Races (SPOILERS!)

Hi...

So for anyone familiar with Endwalker MSQ we at some point go to the moon where we find out that it was in fact created by Hydaelyn to serve as Zodiark prison and also to be used as a space ship in the case the Final Days destroy the planet.

So my question is... What happens from this point forward regarding Miqo'te Keepers of the Moon? They worship Menphina the Moon Goddess but... is she the Goddess of a fictional Moon? Is Keepers of the Moon religion a lie? or do we have information that backs it up?

The moon's still real. It's still extant, it's still something that people can look up at in the night sky, tell stories about, and come up with a whole story about a god that represents it. Hell, real-life people have worshipped gods of artificial things--remember Hephaestus, Greek god of the forge?

Of course, this particular question isn't exactly one we won't get any answers to; the alliance raids will include Menphina in some way.

One thing though about that revelation of the moon's creation made me start to wonder exactly how the Ancients handled tides without a moon to cause and regulate them like on Earth? Then I remembered there's a handy hint in the game's title, and just shrugged and said.. "magic".

2, upon discovering the purpose of the moon, its a decent thing to worship after all.

Likely nothing, its a relatively small number of people that even knew about the trip to the moon or what happened there. Easy enough for SE to just handwave that they stay silent.

The Twelve as we know them didn't exist before the Sundering, as far as we know. So it's safe to say that for all of the time that people have been worshipping Menphina, there's been a moon in their sky. Regardless of how or why that moon came to be, it has been there for all of the history of the sundered world, and has still inspired the people living there. The faith that they have in it and Menphina are very real - if there's anything we've learned from the FFXIV story, it's that ideas and beliefs are given meaning and weight by the people who hold them, not necessarily by the thing itself.
