How to avoid getting banned in this forum?

Hate speech as in someone's being racist or sexist? If the forum mods aren't handling that properly, that's a huge issue. Do you have a link to a post by any chance?

Not that extreme but the thread already deleted so I can't find it anymore. But yeah, they never handled properly, instead the innocents who responded are the one that get banned...

I think my ban was because of threatening to report the troll, but yeah... Still ridiculous when the reasoning is "Posting aimed to create a negative impact on the community or its members."

But oh well, I'll keep it mind with these. Thank you.

Hate speech typically refers to discrimination against someone for their ethnicity, sex, religion, etc. When you say it's not that extreme then it kind of makes me wonder if that person was merely giving their opinion about something. For example, I can say something like: "I hate omelettes, I think they're vile and disgusting." These are pretty strong words but they don't classify as hate speech. Do you remember what the topic of discussion was?

I got banned once. It was about two years ago, soon after I joined the forum I think. I called someone a little b---- and a thin-skinned punk (I think the f-word was thrown in somewhere). Their thread was about someone calling them a pedophile for playing a Lalafell. Apparently, the comment(s) hurt their feelings so much they felt the need to say something about it.

The fact that they came on the forums to complain about their hurt feelings is what compelled me to respond the way I did. One person made a comment and they came crying here. Everyone's so soft now, and it's such a nothing problem, so I spoke my mind and was banned. Probably not the most respectful way to respond, hence the ban, but I don't regret it. I just hope they actually read the response before it was removed.
