How to avoid getting banned in this forum?

Hmm, while I haven't been banned yet, this forum does seem to have the "Reddit syndrome" where going against the status quo of the topic at hand seems like a hugeeeee offense to some, which usually ends up with demonstrations of human tribalism at it's best, the only difference is that you lack internet points here.

This. I've survived over nine years by following this as a general guidelines. It's just like in the game - if you ever attempt to "call out" someone it's probably not going to go well in the forums.

Doesn't work. My post was removed by stating a fact proven many times by science compared to someone who just threw numbers to make them feel better about themselves.
It feels like the mods are biased to a certain side.

I doubt anyone will listen to this, and (sorry op if this doesn't go with what your talking about it kind of does though.

So here's my advice if you can escape the forums right now I suggest you do it before it brings harm, stress to you. I've had many bad experiences on game forums but square enix is the only forums that have caused so much misery and pain that it has made me return to habits that took me years to stop and get over. Has lead to agruements and upping doses of pills. It honestly the most unsafe forum on the internet if you have any thoughts, feelings or passion about anything. Its to late for myself as it seems like the only place i can go to to put such thoughts/passion even though i know sooner or later it will go bad and end up in a ban again then ill repeat the bad stuff to myself and struggle to sleep and honestly cry a good bit clinging to my real things. People will gang up on you, label you and set you up to go off and self defend your ideas, passion etc. I've had this issue with the forum since my original character Bloom Peters from siren (well before heavensward) and the forum i cant stop going to has lead to many negative things irl.

So if you can stop i suggest you do it before it leads to down spiral of misery and stress.

I think my ban was because of threatening to report the troll, but yeah... Still ridiculous when the reasoning is "Posting aimed to create a negative impact on the community or its members."

Yep, this is pretty much it. Just be an adult.

I'm sorry, but if you're on the forums you have to have navigated here in the first place, possibly logged in if you weren't already, found and read a topic (if one didn't exist already), typed out some sort of content using the not exactly top of the line forum system here, and hit "Post Topic/Reply." There is no such thing as "But it was in the heat of the moment!" or "I did it without thinking!" Formulating some kind of response, typing it out and then hitting the submit button takes more than long enough to cancel out any instant, blurted response defense you can have with a verbal interaction.

Communicate like a mature adult and you shouldn't have any real issues, on the forums or in the game.
