    Game-Ending Visual Issue

I recently picked up this game and it's great! I'd really been enjoying it. But when my Warrior hit level 35 it picked up an annoying swirling orange aura that I couldn't figure out how to remove. From Googling, the aura is from the Beast Gauge, and apparently it can never be turned off as long as my character is a Warrior.

The game really isn't enjoyable with the visual pain of the aura on all the time, and so to continue with the game I have to stop playing this class that I like, stop doing the story, and grind up some other class instead (I don't know how long that would take). Maybe I'll do that at some point in the future but for now I'm just going to put the game down.

It's a shame for something that had been so fun to have been ruined by something this trivial, and so I thought I would pop over here and write this note about it. When Googling I found others who stopped playing due to this issue as well. Hopefully it can be fixed at some point in the future. Really great game otherwise. Thanks for reading.

The swirls are only when you actually have beast gauge accumulated. So in combat, yeah. Near constant swirly aura. Running around town and such, no swirls at all.

It shouldn't take too long to get back to level 35. Focus on filling out your hunting log to begin with – try to battle as few enemies as possible at low levels because you'll use up your "rested bonus" extremely quickly, but it's more valuable at higher levels because you have to fight a lot more enemies per level. Once you get to level 15 you can start running dungeons. Also if you've picked a DPS job this time you should do the Hall of the Novice challenges again to get gear for it. (Assuming of course you've already done Hall of the Novice with your warrior – if not, you should do that now and you'll get a ring that boosts EXP gain at low levels.)

The other option is that as soon as you've got a second class available to you, you can switch to it and back to warrior, and that will reset the beast gauge to zero.

Hello, just a comment that this isn't correct. The Beast Gauge and the visual effect stay on forever out of combat. There's no action or setting that gets rid of it. I tried other things today and found that teleporting does temporarily fix it. I guess I teleport enough that it might be tolerable, given how much I like the class otherwise. I still hope that this issue can be fixed. Thank you for your replies.

That's why I said "when you actually have beast gauge accumulated." If your gauge is at 0, either because you've used it all or haven't yet attacked anything, the swirls vanish. In cities and housing areas and such where there's no combat the visual will always be off (unless you attack a training dummy, or something.)
