FF14 Keeps crashing after logging in for a few minutes

Does the crash happen in a specific area or instance? Is there some sort of pattern to the crash?

1. I only have one character so I can't tell you if it happens with new characters or not.
I tried to find some solutions online and tried to delete the character data folder but it didn't help, the game still crashes after awhile(1-3mins)

2. I was in one of the End Walker areas and it crashes after a few minutes. I did just try to teleport away to Uldah and the game crashed before the city could load.

3. There are no error messages at all when it crashes. Is there a log somewhere which I can get to?


To reiterate my original post with more info, I have a new laptop (MSI Thin GF63 10SC-222 15.6" Gaming Laptop with Intel® i5-10500H, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX 1650 & Windows 10 Home). Because of smaller SSD, I have an external HDD. I installed FF14 on the external HDD, along with all my other games.

EDIT Update: I tried logging in again, on character selection screen it says my character is in Uldah now, but when I try to load in, the game crashes on load screen now. Before, in the end walker area, I was able to load in the game, move around for a little bit and then the game would crash. (again no error message at all)

Hi , I have been encountering this issue for 6 times after 6.0 launched , the crash will happen when you are loading something(e.g.A map , a story scene..) and you will never be able to load the some content unless you reinstall your game. Then you will be able to load the thing , but this error will happen sometime somewhere again.

In this case , if you reinstall , you will be able to access to Uldah again , but at some point when your game load sth , it will crash and you need to reinstall again.

Apart from that , you can try to right click your character and go to another world on the character selection page when you log-in , you will be entering one of the 3 starter city, and you will be able to play without crashing , but if you try to teleport to Uldah again , your game will crash again.

There is no REAL fix on this and SE has been very quiet on these random DX11 errors.
