I think they're referring to the fact Shinryu was the endboss of SB (which a DNC or GNB could participate in at level).

Reaper and Sage got Edenmorn weapons, so it may be safe to assume they will get Hades weapons but no others.

Generally speaking the best you can hope for is they may add one or two shadowbringers glowy trial weapons when they do that like how gunbreaker and dancer got a shinryu weapon

What previous xpac weapons have been added for the new jobs?

I know I've seen the PotD/HoH weapons on them. What about Bozjan weapons? Shadowbringers X boss weapons? Older boss weapons?

Don't expect to receive anything new this expansion beyond 90 relic, tome, raid, and extreme primals 90+ (aside from deep dungeon). The only exception was Dancer and Gunbreaker getting, as said before, Shinryu weapons and later Hades at the end of the expansion. The precedent has been set now that if you want to play a new job expect to have few options, and no glowy ones for quite a few major patches. Given the track record if they manage to release a current expansion primal weapon you'll probably expect it some point 6.5 or later (unless they add another previous expansion one like Shinryu which was a one-off).

At the least I feel like new recipes should be added for the crafted trials weapons since most if not all of them have pretty much always been glamour items.

Imagine a glowy moggle scythe with a moogle face on the blade... or moggle sage weapons that looked like tiny glowing moogles... and making moogle noises... >.>

They won’t add Bozja weapons. New jobs never get relics from previous expansions; only the current and future ones. At most, SGE and RPR will be getting UCoB, UwU, and TEA weapons—as well as DNC and GNB getting UCoB and UwU weapons. The developers have gone on record saying that they are adding these in at a later date due to the demand from those who do that content. And the dissatisfaction that ShB didn’t at least bring DNC/GNB weapons for the previous two Ultimates (but they did get O12S weapons).

I can’t imagine they’ll add any of the older primal weapons. If they do, it will likely be because of future plans to use them in a raid where they will want to reuse the asset. That’s the speculation with regards to DNC/GNB getting Shinryu weapons: he’ll likely be an Ultimate boss at some point, since they tend to do Ultimates based around main raid bosses (UCoB & TEA) and main primal bosses (UwU and the upcoming Dragonsong Ultimate). In that case, it might be likely for RPR/SGE to see Shinryu weapons? Maybe also Hades, since I’m positive he’s a front-runner for an Ultimate sometime in the future. Unless they go the TEA route and just throw darts at a board when picking out weapons for those two jobs.

On reaper, I am using a lovely red dragon one from Shisui. I've not seen the Sage drop there yet, but it might be in the loot table, maybe. I run it a lot, and the RPR was a rare drop in there for me.

With a record 22% (USD$43.5 million) profit increase for the company this year, it would be nice if SE hired even a single extra weapon/clothing modeller to sit down and make back-fill and improved assets.

One thing I've noticed...there are very few dyable(less than 5) for both RPR and SGE. Hopefully we get more...sometimes the right colour of a weapon can perfect a glamour...and that's rather hard when you have 2 or 3 weapons that don't fit the glamour in their looks, but are the only ones that can be dyed.
