Wanted: Dismount on attack.

Yet another QoL feature the community thought of (and modders implemented) early on, but the devs have yet to bother with. /sigh

One thing I miss from WoW is that you automatically dismount when you attack something. It's especially useful in things like hunt trains, where you can't easily tell that you're still mounted in the crowd..

I support this. Been asking for this ever since I started playing back in HW, will continue to ask until gets here.

Nah. Nothing like that. Just stop being lazy is all. It takes nothing to dismount. I suppose next people will just want to jump out of the air and start fighting instead of needing to land? There are more important things to worry about than trying to appease lazy people.

People are only asking for the same appended function already attached to Draw Weapon to be attached to all combat actions.

Such does not allow for arial leaps. Such does not stop one from needing to land. Rather, it performs the exact same function as Ctrl-Space (Descend) and then automatically dismounts upon landing without incurring the brief additional animation lock caused by a separate dismount action.

This is how it works in WoW. If you're in range to attack, it instantly dismounts you and carries out the attack while you're falling to the ground. However, since FFXIV doesn't allow airborne dismounts, the attack would just have to fail if you weren't in the landed state.

The desire of convenience leads to quality of life improvement. Why do it in 2 butons when you can do with just one? You may not feel want it now, but if it is ever get implemented, you will also one of people who benefits from it.
