Wanted: Dismount on attack.

One thing I miss from WoW is that you automatically dismount when you attack something. It's especially useful in things like hunt trains, where you can't easily tell that you're still mounted in the crowd..

Trying what? This is something I've wanted since I started playing. Having to manually dismount then attack as two seperate actions is irritating.

To be fair this wouldn't change the game in a bad way at all. There is no gain from being unable to attack while mounted.

How I get around it is key-binding my mount so it's very quick to mount and dismount.

What is exactly wrong with OP's request? FFXIV Would benefit from a lot of QoL improvements, to be honest. For example, the number of confirmation windows we have e.g. 'Do you really want to use this key that can't be used anywhere else and will vanish once you'll leave the instance? Are you sure, yes?'.

Am guessing they didn't read the OP and though the OP was suggesting the daze dismount mechanic from wow

It seems other people in the thread are doing the same. OP is asking for an attack FROM YOU to dismount you. So that you do not have to manually dismount, and then start attacking.

He didn't say you should get dismounted when attacked.

He said you should dismount when you attack.

I've been playing FF14 for years and this is the one thing I think WoW did better

I agree with the OP and have played on and off since ARR beta. I always wished this was the case.
