"Unable to register. Maximum number of duties exceeded." - No Information on this

So last night a friend and I were spamming duties for speedrunning reasons, and at about 03:30 we received an error stating:

Unable to register. Maximum number of duties exceeded.
Unable to register while penalties are being incurred.

We figured we'd been going at them hard and this was a fair penalty to receive, so called it a night.

I logged in today and while doing a quest line, I was barred from entering a solo duty for the same error.

This had some information in from users explaining what they believed it was.

I have since waited until the daily reset occurred but I still can't enter duties, with the same error being shown.

There is no information about this error on any page that I can find, including the Game Manual which mentions the standard penalties for leaving/cancelling duties (which this is of course different): https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/game_...entry-cf_entry

There's also no in-game timer in my Duty Finder explaining how long I have to wait, like you would expect to see for the leaving penalty.

Please can this be looked in to an explained from an official source as to how long I have to wait before I can play again?

Apparently there is a limit of 100 duties someone mentioned in another forum post. It is apparently suppose to stop botting, but is kind of a hammer solution to the actual problem. I have not reached this limit, but I hope the devs make this visible to see how many you have left to complete or understand going through the game will exceed this especially if farming for birds, horses or other things. With the horrible drop rate sometimes it could easily take 100 tries to get just one drop. Finding this out has kind of made me angry. I hate when a company puts a limit on anything when you are paying to play the game. If you do not wish to craft in the downtime your a bit boned and frequently run content or even help people do things within the game this limit could easily be reached. If there is to see how many you get like leves and someone knows please let us know. I haven't seen anything in game indicated how many duties per day we are 'allowed' to do or how many are refunded at what time per day.

If there is no way to see this I suggest to the devs if you are going to have a system like this at least give us a way to see what is actually going on. I have no clue if this counts class quests, raids, dungeons, or everything. You will reach that very quickly, especially if it gives you 100 initially like leve's than increase extremely slowly over time. This may be what you are experiencing and is kind of horrible. I know there is a reason, but still could be a better way to do this to prevent server overload which there has been on whatever server instanced duties are on.

I suppose what I am getting at is transparency and a way to see what is going on would be kind of nice. I have to scour posts now to see if it was ever mentioned. There could be a message when you load up the game giving this important information as well not just the updated terms of service and seasonal events. This is kind of more import than that and not everyone has the time to read everything on every new or patch note post.

Also Edit: Apparently this has been a thing for a long time the post was from 2020 but similar to the instances it is very possible there was no limit when the servers had less people on them.

So it looks like my restriction has been lifted, but I am unsure when. It was between 13-20.5 hours after I first saw it, but not directly after daily reset.

I'm relieved that it's been gone now and it's something I'll be conscious of in the future, but like the post above me, I would appreciate some information on this from the devs either ingame or on official help links.
