Dragoon is still very fun. Reaper suffers from lack of abilities to do at lower levels. The kit comes together at higher levels and feels good. Dragoon doesn't have that issue once we get to lv 60, 70, and 80 because they have a lot more oGCD actions to weave around. The gameplay smooths out much quicker. Different APM for 2 jobs, and different focuses.

Personally, I'd choose Reaper because I am more aesthetically inclined to their Lv 90 Gear (and they have a working HAT on Hrothgar no less!). I'm just a bit disappointed from losing the Blood of the Dragoon blue aura animation. However, Dragoon is still a close second because the gameplay is still fun.

Appreciate it thanks
    The correct answer

If you play with a controller reaper

    If not dragoon

Button bloat for dragoon Is crazy.

90 dragoon here leveling Repear to main because dragoon on controller is crazy stressful on top of jump lock. On PC you would have blast with dragoon.I still love my dragoon to death.

Play reaper because it starts at level 70. That way if you don't really like it, you're only stuck with it for 20 levels. And if you do really like it, you can get to endgame faster.

yes but still below sam, at least thats the overall opinion so it is fine.

basically sam as selfish dps would be the highest dps kinda make sense, they offer nothing to party but their own damage. any class that has utility like party/raid buff etc shouldnt be higher than sam in theory at least

reaper has party/raid buff and also their overall dps is higher than sam doesnt make sense

Reaper is the most satisfying melee dps job that they've ever designed. The gap closer/extender itself says it all.

Even people who love the Job generally tend to admit to this.

MNK is also op atm and will most likely get nerfed.
MEH, I'm liking the gameplay so far (at 90) so I dont really mind about the nerf it will surely get. About MNK being nerfed.. I dunno.

I levelled both to 90 after my tanks and spent a lot of time last expansion on DRG but honestly, if I could only play one, I'd pick RPR. DRG is still fun but it feels more methodical to me, perhaps because I'm more experienced and know the optimal rotations but RPR feels a little more fluid in what I'm doing. I mained GNB though for most of last expansion and RPR feels somewhat similar in terms of it's DPS playstyle. I say level both though and see for yourself.
