Same in the morning, i logged, run to he mb below my house, did one retainer - crash at teh 2nd. But then it was fine all day, till i logged off.... Its just that constant uneasy feeling of possible random dc...Want to add weight to this error as I've been having the exact same issue since the update after maintenance this week. It first occurred when interacting with my retainers as well. This afternoon at 17:37 I logged into a queue of 773, and as I was about to check my retainers, I get booted from the game for the 2nd time today with this error. Now an hour later, the queue is 1,492!So after having gotten in the game in a reasonable amount of time, now my wait time just skyrocketed to get in and experience more of the same I'm sure. I've updated my video drivers, and my system is brand new, and has been through perfunctory checks as per 'support'. I love this game and can overlook the queue times, but this is RNG game booting is vexing and irritating when it only starts occurring after patch/maintenance.

I've started the process of re-installing Windows 10 on my PC, and will re-install FFXIV as well once I'm done. I've given up hope that this issue will be solved by any official SE set of instructions and/or fixes. The only recourse left is for us players to continue troubleshooting on our own. This is sad and very disappointing.
SE has shown multiple times that they are not good with PC ports of their games, there are a lot of SE games that run very sketchy on PC but works almost perfectly on consoles. I'm starting to see this here as well, they need someone in their team who can fix this, this is not an issue with the player base who have these problems, it's an issue with their client. The problem is that this issue has been present for over 5 years, in some cases I've found threads from HW with the exact same issues, they subside after a few patches but they've never managed to fix it completely. I've stated it before but it bears repeating, to actually get the attention of the developer we will have to go through "influencers" (I HATE that word), larger streamers, and so on to bring attention to it.
