    I mean work is a relative statement, as someone who used to spawn S-Ranks on the reg back on the day, because spawn triggers vary so wildly.

    Some are super simple (like discard a rail tenderloin anywhere in Lakeland for a chance to pop Tyger) or even entirely automatic (like Croakadile or Laideronnette).

    Others border on the utterly obnoxious (like the number of mobs needed to be killed for Ixtab, or the two maps based S-ranks where you're not even guaranteed a spawn even if the window is past maximum - I still remember the one night I emptied half of Primal's servers' market boards of Peisteskin maps in an attempt to spawn Agrippa who'd passed his max window, and yet still was not successful).

    But yes, much as we want to be as inclusive as possible with hunts, sadly it looks like going forward it's just going to be a scramble to get a piece of the pie due to inherent limitations of the system. Not really much SE can even do for it either in terms of raising limits, unless you like the idea of going back to the bad old MMO days like Lich King era Dalaran where you needed a high end PC to even move at a reasonable rate while in a large crowd such as things like cities, available housing, and hunts are going to attract.

    To be fair a zone queue would be a nice thing though, especially for newbies and casuals who are just trying to do MSQ or some casual gathering and may not participate in or even be aware of hunt culture and then all of a sudden get told out of the blue that they can't enter the zone they were planning on visiting

    While all the cons are true as well... yeah i dont see why this isnt a thing... im sick of not entering a zone bc of that, even if im there literally the second it was posted and just had back luck with where my teleport got me...

    Tbh no due to timers on fates, on gathering points and in some cases sight seeing. Not counting hunts would be gone by the time people got in

    If you can only describe the game as crappy stop playing it. Game has issues for sure and feedback is good. Clicking to move instance a few times it not the end of the world, or do like I do and wake early for the slower early morning hunt trains
    Even in Shb at the start of the expansion the hunt trains were always congested. It always settles down a few weeks in, wait or suffer the congestion like everyone else.

    Wow, what a helpful suggestion. I’m glad that none of us have jobs that require us to wake up early and immediately get ready to head out the door and go to work and thus prevent us from playing anytime before the evenings when it’s most congested.

    In any event, the congestion doesn’t really ever completely die down. Throughout the entirety of ShB there were often issues of getting into zones when S ranks were called out due to the emergence of prominent Discord and CWLS hunt groups.

    This issue actually becomes much more prominent when the hype “dies down” and SE does away with multiple instances per zone. When that happens, you often become unable to even enter a given zone whatsoever during S rank callouts or crowded trains (as opposed to being dumped into a random instance in the given zone and then having to try to change instances at the aetheryte). The current system makes it to where you have to spam cast teleport to that zone if you don’t get in, and instead of checking prior to you casting teleport, it checks only after you have spent 5 seconds casting it and then makes you rinse and repeat if you don’t get in. As I’ve been saying, this is dumb and extremely annoying. Just let players cast teleport once and then toss them into a queue like world hopping (which they can back out of if they want) instead of making them spam cast teleport.

    You are not guaranteed to get in even in a party.
    So I would rather not have that misinformation spread.
    Sometimes I managed to switch instance without issues and sometimes not, that's it.

    I'd rather the focus on improving PS4 performance or at least add an option to hide x amount of players so i acually have a chance at doing these hunts without dying in 2 seconds because i can't see what's going on.

    There is no reason for them to do that. Why waste development on creating extra support for a system that is going to be dropped from support eventually. They'll instead put resources on improving support for the PS5 as I can see support for PS4 being dropped either with the next expac or the expac after.

    As for the topic on hand, a queue system into the instanced zones won't help you at all. With the rampant early pulling by the time you get in it will be dead, and you will be right back here complaining about how you were forced to wait in a queue to get into an instance with a hunt mob/boss fates. At this point there is nothing they can do. The instances exist to prevent the servers from overloading and crashing and improve performance. By locking players out of a congested instance the feature is working as intended. The fact that the players are abusing the instances to get extra hunts and FATE kills is the problem, and there isn't much that can be done about it because people will continue to abuse it and short of adding more servers, which they can't do despite wanting to, there isn't anything SE can really do about it.
