question about tranferring to the eu server

It isn't currently possible to change servers but it will be in the future (maybe even before the release of 2.0). That being said, as far as I know, there are EU players and linkshells on all servers (and there are NA and JP players on Ragnarok). Most EU players didn't move to Ragnarok, and from what I've read, most EU players there seem to be either French or German.

Not my personal experience, just what I've read from Ragnarok forums.

And I know more EU linkshells which didn't move to Ragnarok than I know EU linkshells which moved there.

Edit: I'm not saying there's anything wrong with Ragnarok and I haven't played there myself so I can't really tell anything about it. I'm just saying there are plenty of EU players on other servers too and you don't have to move there just because you live in EU.

Fact is Enix didn't really advertise Ragnarok very well. They stated it was for German and French people when it should have been described as a European server.
Going there was a huge risk for me and all I could do was hope other English players would do the same.

Fortunately they have and I'm having the best time I've had in game since release right now due to the community I've built around myself!
