Alliance roulette changes is needed

Methods to circumvent and manipulate the alliance roulette are becoming more widespread for each passing day.
A change in how it allows you to sign up is in order.

My idea to tell it short:
You MUST qualify for the highest available alliance raid.
that means if you are level 60, you must have atleast the first Void Ark unlocked and have the required item level.
same goes for Ivalice at 70, and Nier at 80.
Many of us are sick and tired of signing up for what is basically a glorified Crystal Tower roulette.

I’d like for them to do something like this, but to also increase EXP rewards for the level 60, 70, and 80 alliance raids. Scale them more based on time taken—since that’s why CT raids are preferable: fast and easy, and you get basically the same amount of EXP for half the effort of Orbonne or Tower at Paradigm’s Breach.

How about to spawn such ppl with level 50 gear into a level 80 raid? I wouldn´t care to see them permadieing just to get kicked right in front of the endboss. Otherwise they can leave the raid and get a 30min penalty for such a dumb behavior.

Counter point: Let us blacklist a limited amount of duties from the list. I'm tired of crystal tower. I get it that people need it for story, but I don't care anymore. I'm tired of running the same 3 raids every day.

It would just last in endless queues since a bunch of ppl prefer the "fast methods" for XP or relic-farming.

Instead of being like "you need gear-level x", once you´ve done any dungeon or raid, you should just get upgraded on the minimum itemlevel for everything which can be done on your current classlevel. This would solve a lot.

I second this. 9 times out of 10, Alliance Raids Roulette results LotA. And if it isn't Lota, you can see up to 1/3rd of the party drop.

I consider myself a rather skilled player in FFXIV, I regularly seek out difficult content (EX/Savage/Ultimate), and I find the latest raids to be much more fun especially since I have access to more abilities. But because almost every time I do this roulette I get LotA, I'm board out of my mind, literally only 3 to 4 buttons throughout the whole raid. The only reason why I do the roulette is to get the rewards and go.

From a certain perspective, I understand why ilvl cheesers do what they do. They want to complete the roullete as fast as possible to maximize rewards. But... I kinda want to play Orbonne, or even Lighthouse (Math is cool!). Hell, Copied factory is a ton of fun. What better to get rewards AND have fun?

Well, if I want to have fun, why don't I queue directly to those duties? I shouldn't have to answer this question, ilvl cheesing is worse and abuses the ilvl system, but I will... Doing the duties directly have no reward whatsoever, no reward worth doing it at least unless you're after glam, music, or minions.

Alliance raid roulette offers so many good rewards, especially for adventurer's in need. Want extra gil? I guess. What about cracked clusters? YES PLEASE! Although not strictly because of this, this is one of the leading issues that incentivizes ilvl cheesers. Finish the fastest/easiest duty and get the rewards faster. It's literally optimizing the fun out of the game... I get it, but I actually like having fun once every now and again.

So the way I think you fix this, is by scaling the rewards based on ilvl, where you have different ilvl gates depending on current content and level. If you are level 90, and ilvl cheesing, you don't get Aphorism tomes nor adventurer's in need bonus. It's simple, don't participate in roulettes in good faith, you get none of the rewards.

I think at this point they should just make CT roulette separate from the rest of alliance raids roulette. Just like msq roulette.

Maybe they should bring it under MSQ roulette, but you´ve to run through all 3 at once to make it somehow even to castrum

I haven't thought about it much, but maybe they should make an ilvl restriction for this? For example, if you queue up as a lvl 90 your gear should be at least 550 or something like that. Adjust it for levels 1-90 and it would be impossible for people to cheat the system.

aye thats what I want in place as well.
if people then want to play CT they can queue for it directly, robbing themselves of the roulette bonus.
