If you are a Dark Knight main and you have been hearing negative feedback as I have on our Job this expansion...rejoice as I have a tip that will show how DRK is superior to other tanks in many instances and it revolves The Blackest Night.

If you do the Dungeon Smileton, during the last fight with the bombs that drop on either side...there is a way for you to help your party always stay in the front and never have to move back to avoid the mines. EAT THE MINE! Here is how:

During the fight you will see the mine drop. During that time you have +/-5 secs to avoid it. During that time have you healer pop a shield on you while you do Blackest Night. Why? Because around 60% of the fight the boss will drop a mine in the same side as the bomb with 3 arrows in front. You can avoid making your entire party especially if all melee for nearly 100% uptime in dps by staying front. You will only get debuffs if you take damage from your HP pool. No damage, mine eaten, all dps front, faster kill.

(Warning)This only works for DRK. No other tank has the ability to eat damage consistently without taking it from their actual HP pool unless its PAL invul. to avoid all damage for 10 secs. Yet they cannot do it throughout the entire fight as DRK can.

Bottomline, DRK is a amazing tank if you look at its strengths. To me, it is the best main tank since it not only can mitigate its own HP pool from getting hit...but because it also has the ability to be more accessible to other tanks via sharing your BN to them if they are main.
