Issue summary: Attacking an unclaimed enemy with Summon Ruby, Summon Topaz, Summon Emerald, Summon Ifrit, Summon Titan, or Summon Garuda does not claim the enemy. An enemy defeated using only these spells will not grant experience rewards and credit toward hunting logs.
Expected behavior: Attacking an unclaimed enemy with Summon Ruby, Summon Topaz, Summon Emerald, Summon Ifrit, Summon Titan, or Summon Garuda should claim the enemy. Enemies defeated using only these spells should grant applicable experience and credit toward hunting logs.
Steps:
- Change to Arcanist class or Summoner job.
- Cast Summon Carbuncle.
- Travel to an overworld area, such as Lower La Noscea or Amh Araeng
- Engage an enemy and cast Aethercharge, Dreadwyrm Trance, Summon Bahamut, or Summon Phoenix to obtain Ruby Arcanum, and Topaz Arcanum and Emerald Arcanum if applicable.
- Defeat the enemy while reserving at least one of Ruby Arcanum, Topaz Arcanum, or Emerald Arcanum.
- Confirm that you received experience for the defeat. If the enemy was designated as a hunting target by the Arcanist hunting log, confirm that you received hunting log credit.
- Target an unclaimed enemy of the same type and level.
- Spend the reserved Arcanum to cast one of the following spells: Summon Ruby, Summon Topaz, Summon Emerald, Summon Ifrit, Summon Titan, Summon Garuda.
- The summoned pet will appear and attack your target, but your target will remain unclaimed.
- Defeat the enemy using only Summon Ruby, Summon Topaz, Summon Emerald, Summon Ifrit, Summon Titan, and Summon Garuda.
- The enemy will die unclaimed and you will not receive any experience. If the enemy was designated as a hunting target by the Arcanist hunting log, you will not receive hunting log credit.
Further testing necessary:
My summoner is only Lv80 so I cannot confirm if the Lv90 spells Summon Ifrit II, Summon Titan II, and Summon Garuda II behave the same, so someone else please confirm whether those summons claim their targets.
