Repair search function in markets

Right now, we have an item search for items for sale on retainers in the wards. However, this search only covers things listed by category in every ward other than the mender's ward.

Has there been any reason stated as to why we cannot search for repair requests?

Even if you search for the item that needs repairing (and you usually would not know what needs repairing but this is just an example), it will show only the sale information of that item, not the repair requests for it.

I'm not sure if you can put materia attaching requests on retainer yet but I'd love to be able to search the markets for both of these without running 5 steps to load new retainers, look for the icon for repair (or materia) requests, run another 5 steps, rinse and repeat for the entirety of every row in every city just to see if I can help anyone with that sort of thing.

Without a search for those sorts of requests, it's a sheer fluke if anyone actually gets help with them too. Someone could offer all the gil they have to repair a level one item but no one will know about it unless they happen to be in that exact part of that exact ward at the exact time that the request is up. It would be wiser for that person to shout in Uldah for a repair and save those slots on their retainer for storage or sales.

I'd really be interested in any reasoning behind the choice to lock the mender's row out of the search options and would love to see these requests be searchable in 2.0 if not sooner.


PS. On a vaguely related note, the offers to buy things via retainer with the looking for option should also be searchable.

I don't want the repair requests to show up in the window for who's trying to sell the item in question, but I wouldn't mind seeing some option somewhere that does a search for all repair requests in the ward (perhaps segregated by crafting class required) and marks them with a star.

If you use the search system as it is now (aside from typing something in the top box), you'll see it already segments things by row and then by various subcategories depending on specifically what sort of item it is (like "hat" or "saltwater fare", etc). All of the rows are listed except for the mender's row. I think mender's row should be added to the list of rows in the search function and all repair requests (and maybe materia melding requests in their own sub category? I don't know) should be in there.

It doesn't and shouldn't come up in the selling list but that's the only function the search feature does at the moment which is why I used it as an example.
